what is up with c-span.org?
I Have been trying to view the Cliff Arnebeck video for about a day now. I get either a page not found or an endless page loading with no success when I try to view the file. I'm a computer professional so I'm pretty savvy at these things. Anybody else notice a problem too?

Of course by posting this, many of you will go to the site and slam their servers thereby causing a problem and then I'll never be able to tell if there was a problem before asking this or was it just me?

But then again I typed in the url of the file into Google to see if it is mirrored someplace else and I found a bunch of sites ecstatic about it and linking back to the c-span site. Could it be that there is so much interest in this that it is slamming the c-span servers?

I'm disappointed that I can't see it since it really made a lot of people here feel more hopeful yet it's kinda cool to think that there is so much interest.

Anybody else notice this? Does anyone have a link to a mirrored site?

1. I watched it three days after they taped and it kept stopping and hanging.

parts would disappear. Being persistent and having some time to spend on it reloading it over and over..I managed to view the whole thing. I actually was so frustrated I thought C-Span was trying to disrupt the feed..but then I calmed down and figured many folks were downloading it so my RA kept disconnecting? I downloaded it this past Saturday.

Actually the whole show is worth a watch, not just the Arnebeck segment..I ended up having to watch parts of it several times so I did see the whole Washington Journal unavoidably..:D

2. try this?
http://www.cspan.org/search/basic.asp?ResultStart=1&ResultCount=10&BasicQueryText=Arnebeck&image1.x=10&image1.y=8

then click either his specific statement or the entire Washington Journal program.

Good Luck!

4. I just watched it....
Try this -

Go to c-span.org

then paste into your address/location bar:
illegal codeplayClip('rtsp://video.c-span.org/project/c04/c04_wj120204_arnebeck.rm')

Alternately, on the c-span home page, do a search for
arnebeck

2 Washington Journal entries will appear - the first on is his 30 minute segment; the second on is the entire Washington Journal show that he appeared on.

It's great - well worth watching.

Good luck!

Beth
