Whats happened to all the leadership? Strange
It is way too quiet. Was the election just "politics" for all the progressive and democratic leadership? Now that the game is over go back to business as usual? Is the media silencing everyone? Are they quietly building a foundation? What is going on?

Considering the times we are in why would they so quickly and so completely quiet? Waiting until he is inagurated? Or am I missing things that are happending?

1. Exhausted?
Just a thought. Exhausted and not well informed. Most of them only watch TV media and read newspapers. If that's all one looked at, one would be woefully underinformed.

4. As in.................
Building something behind the scenes or going back to their parties and corporate constituants and enacting business as usual but hoping we will think otherwise because they kicked some theoretical tail during the campaign????

6. It is very, very quiet. Not a peep from the Dems.

They'd better get serious about fighting these people if they want out votes in 2006 and 2008. Are they just taking us for granted? Forgetting we could stay home on election day?

7. if the Dem party leaders don't/won't stand up for themselves
then why would I think they would stand up for me?

It looks like they have been outfitted with rubber-stamps on their feet -- when they jump it stamps out "anything you want, mr. pResident"

8. Follow the money.
Perhaps they all just went back to the "safety" and comfort of the corporate Sugar Tit? Something like:

Nice little Demmies, you've had your fun, you put on a good show. But now it's time to get back to the business of the country--which is business. Mommy loves you anyway.

Perhaps the entire litter of insolent puppies has decided to snuggle back up to the she-wolf and suckle their troubles away. Maybe they've all learned their lessons and won't be rebellious next time.

Good puppies!

:grr:

10. You're right, they're definitely keeping low profiles
I've been checking the list of Sunday morning political talk shows in the Washington Post, and for the past month there have been few if any Democratic leaders appearing as guests. It's been mostly rethugs talking amongst themselves, or fairly innocuous members of our party.

It even looks to me as though Kerry has bailed out of playing a role in naming the next leader of the DNC. I hope I'm wrong about that.

Have they all been replaced with obedient cyborgs, and are they really languishing somewhere in the bowels of Guantanamo?
