Why can't we make a decision as a Party ?
To move to the "center" or move to the "left"? We sit in purgatory and yell at each other as we sit on the same fence. We cannot make a decision as a Party because of fear of losing the support of one group or another. Why doesn't the Party simply move to the same street with the Republicans so I can leave once and for all. They are still haunted by the spectre of McGovern, interpreting it as some historical standard of liberalism that is set in stone.

1. It's the fear.
When the Democrats hitch up their skirts and start acting like real leaders, they'll all come to the same conclusions. And they'll start winning elections again.

The cowards are bringing us down.

2. Hey, Parties aren't about the little guy. Only the guys at the top
know what's good for ya and make the decision.

3. We can't move to the center, we're already there.
If we move any more to the right we'll be bushbots.

5. Will rogers said
(at least I think it was Will Rogers)

I don't belong to any organized political party. I belong to the Democratic party.
