Move on.org,Who will lead the Democratic Party?
has this been posted?
Dear MoveOn member,

Who will lead the Democratic Party? The answer may come as soon as this weekend, when the state Democratic Party leaders gather to discuss who should chair the Democratic National Committee (DNC) for the next four years.1 The election for chair is rarely competitive. But this year, with the race wide open, we have the chance to elect a leader who will reconnect the Democratic Party with its constituents -- us.

For years, the Party has been lead by elite Washington insiders who are closer to corporate lobbyists than they are to the Democratic base. But we can't afford four more years of leadership by a consulting class of professional election losers. In the last year, grassroots contributors like us gave more than $300 million to the Kerry campaign and the DNC, and proved that the Party doesn't need corporate cash to be competitive.2 Now it's our Party: we bought it, we own it, and we're going to take it back.

We've made it easy to contact your state Party leaders and ask them support a chair who will represent all of us OUTSIDE of the Washington beltway and engage us in a fight for a bold Democratic vision. If we get enough signatures today, we'll deliver your comments to their meeting this weekend, so please click below NOW to make your voice heard:

1. Don't know if it has been posted
but I responded to the email with this, tell me what you think.
I am hoping that the Democratic Party leaders will move forward precisely and aggressively.Everytime that Republican or a pundit lies (mis-states facts)we have to respond immediately and say it over and over again. It is vital to our Country, World, and the continuation of the Party. We need a leader who can look out of the box and knows how to keep people interested and working on all of the problems. Someone who knows how to keep the grassroots involved and is not close-minded to the people. We had the greatest involvement ever this election season and we do not need to lose participates to a third party. Look I admire and love President Clinton and Hillary but I am no longer willing to follow and trust so easily anymore ! Example, Bernard Kerik being the Head of Homeland Security and Senator Clinton coming out immediately and praizing him. The facts prove it is a very dangerous choice to back him. Another, example is my Senators Pryor and Lincoln voting yea to confirm James Leon Holmes. Horrific decision for women and it gets really old not to be able to back your own leaders in such an important appointment but of course I again voted for Sen. Lincoln because she is on the Democratic Party.
Gov. Howard Dean would be very good direction to take this party in.We have to fight the Republicans with everything in us. There is no sane reason to think we can work with them like they are on the up and up. The Democratic Party has to get real and fight the Neo-con Idealogy that destroys the environment of America, and the World, turns their back on others ideals and beliefs. The Government is to one sided for Israel and neglects the Palestinian people and some of this comes from our own party !
I chose to be a Democrat when I was very young because of the work of the "Kennedy Family" and people like Sen. John Kerry and even the Viet Nam War protesters I saw on the news as a child. The Party has to start using the Constitution to fight the Republicans. We have to fight tooth and nail for our Free Speech and the airwaves. We are capable of censoring ourselves and do not need the Government ran be Religious Fanatics to do the job for me.

I hope that you the leaders will consider Gov. Howard Dean and find away to enlist Sen.John Edwards for they both have the knowledge, heart and soul to take our Country back and fight for equality and rights for all not just the rich, or white evagelicals and the Saudi Royal family! The Saudi's own way to much of our country. We have to respect Europe and the United Nations. We need a leader that can get the points drilled into the heads of Americans that only learn news from FOXNEWS or Rush Limbaugh. Education and Science is the only way to a future worth living. Don't let people give up on the Democratic Party, help us stay together and do not exclude people like "Michael Moore" or "Hollywood", or "Gays" that is ridiculous and is not what our party stands for ! Considering turning our backs to them is divisive and IMMORAL. Everyone is just as important as the other and we need all the help possible.

3. No, it doesn't....
.... but the fool who wrote that article does.

I can only say to him "you wish". The right isn't falling all over themselves to restrict MoveOn and to emulate MoveOn because it is ineffective.

4. No he's saying what many won't say
The "fool who wrote that article" is on our side. You can choose to ignore him and let Moveon.org suck up money to perpetuate their own existence.

5. Just because...
... he's ostensibly on "our side" doesn't mean he is not a fool.

MoveOn is almost singlehandedly responsible (along with Bush* himself) for the massive infusion of grassroots cash in the last election.

This dude's arguments just don't hold water IMHO. And I quit giving money directly to MoveOn long ago.
