Brian Lamb's discussion on "diversity" this AM...
He was discussing an article about all the different "races" in the Bush Cabinet and how his Cabinet was more "diverse" than Clinton's.. A couple of callers made the point that it was the ideas they bring that make the "diversity", not the color of their skin. It would be much like if he hired me to represent "hillbillies" and I ended up supporting millionaires and corporations, would that be diversity? Or would I need to bring the viewpoints of my people to the job? Anybody else see this?

3. "Some people" are still puzzled as to why black folks aren't
just thrilled to death that Clarence Thomas is on the Supreme Court. Talk about not 'getting' it.

4. Class counts more than race.
It seems the caller is ahead of the game.

5. sorry, missed it
I've turned off cable news since the election but still watch Washington Journal most days. However, on Fridays, I usually just let myself sleep through it because I am always confident that Brian Lamb will say something to totally piss me off. And, this morning, knowing Novak was joining him, I was totally sure.....
