Does Kerik nomination show Bush* disdain for Homeland Security
Just wondering. Why wouldn't you vet a man somewhat thoroughly before you had the President of the US go on worldwide television and put the Security of the American People in this idiots hands? Is this Bush* hubris or ignorance? Smacks of both. Are they so arrogant that they are forgetting the very basics of Fucking The People 101.???

1. No, it shows Bush understands media and propaganda.
When he was nominated, this is what you heard.
"Police Commissioner of NYC during 9/11."

Joe America heard "NYC 9/11".

That's all.

3. I would say yes.
Kerik was picked because he's a colorful character who would have proved to be a useful distraction for the boobs had he been confirmed. Kerik would have been for "homeland security" what Bill O'Reilly is to news, a lot of obfuscatory hot air.

What we have seen in the past few weeks is a purge of independent and creative thinkers from the Bush administration and their replacement with factotums who will to conform to whatever stimulus comes out of the Oval Office. It's all about Cheney and Rummy now.

The Bush administration couldn't give a shit about the security of this country, just like they don't care about the lives of our servicemen or the state of granny's SS check.
