How long will America let Bushco get away with Iraqi War? |
|
Edited on Sun Dec-12-04 05:00 PM by spanone
Watching the talk shows this morning there were few to none defending the policy in Iraq. Brent Scowcroft, Chuck Hagel, Joe Biden, no one could defend the lack of armour or the policies. America has been hijacked and it appears 'we the people' really don't care. By we, I don't mean DU. edit: restate subject thread. I pray this country wakes up before it is too late.

1. it will be a campaign issue in 2008 |
|
and by that time, candidates from both parties will be calling for withdrawal. Bush will carry out the war, but he won't get away with it. He hasn't suffered politically in that he managed to become reelected, but history will remember him as the worst president this country as ever seen.

4. We don't have the army for George's wars. |
|
Something has to give. It won't give pretty.
Meantime, our interests all over the world are basically unprotected. So we will lose all our previous ill-gotten gains in addition to the Iraqi mess.
Eventually, someone will notice. Unfortunately, the people in power who have noticed so far are outside the United States and busy power brokering deals that don't include the pitiful helpless used to be giant United States.

to send over there.
When he runs out, it's either the draft or pull-out.
Actually, the press is reporting the problems...the people don't care.

12. It's not just the Iraqi War |
|
Granted, it's the WORST "accomplishment" of his administration. It's the one where the U.S.A. and the world are continuing to experience the deepest loss on all levels.
It's not about George W. Bush getting away with the Iraqi war.
It's about George W. Bush getting away with the Iraqi war and every other sick, damaging, fundamentalist, elitist item on his agenda: screwing with Social Security, Patriot Act II, the "National Sales Tax"...
If America wakes up, it will need to open BOTH eyes...and open them WIDE.

stickers on their cars. And that's the extent of their patriotism; they don't give a f*** about what is really happening in Iraq and why - and it's not like the corporate media will bend over backwards trying to inform them.

After the bogus Iraq elections the U.S. Puppet Govt. that is now in place will be declared the winners and Iraq will be the new Democracy in the ME. From then on the U.S. Military will not be cast as the Occupation Force but the Defenders of Democratic Iraq. This new con job will suffice for the good Amerikans for at least another two years.

Once the rich stop making money, they will abandon him quicker than a busted meth lab's clientele.

18. We put up with 4 years of Nixon |
|
saying he'd get us out of a nastier, bloodier clusterfuck Any Day Now, then rewarded him with a second term. We're not so keen on delayed gratification as people were back then, so maybe Dubya fatique will set in sooner. I'm not holding out hope for it, though.

But these guys are a lot smarter and more sophisticated than Nixon AND they have the media in their pockets. Remember Nixon was exposed by the Washington Post, odds that reporters will expose bushco today are nil.
