Wake up America....Bernard Kerik was a sign.
Kerik was a perfect example of how full of themselves the Bushitists have become. To choose a man who is COMPLETELY unproven on a world-scale and elevate him to the position of Head of Homeland Security can only prove that the entire Homeland Security scam is just that, a farce. Why on God's Green Earth would you pick a 'New York Cop', and I say that respectfully, to run the Homeland Security of the only Superpower on the planet earth.

6. I didn't support Kerik
but I have no problem with an NYPD chief running DHS (other than the fact that I don't think the department should exist, but that's another story).

They understand first-responder issues first hand, I believe they're a bigger organization than the FBI, they have experience providing security to foreign leaders, VIPs and high-profile fixed targets, working with a wide variety of Federal agencies...

It's not Mayberry.

Maybe your objection stems from a different view of what DHS should be doing.

7. Yes, but directing the NY burbs and Homeland Security
are mighty different things. I have no trouble with a NYPD chief running Homeland Security. But I'm insulted by the choice of Kerik whom I believe was chosen because he participated in 9-11 and not because he had a level of experience needed to bring together 22 federal agencies and coordinate them to fight terrorism for our nation.

11. I also think that the head of DHS is a bush* whipping boy
who has NO REAL POWER. Maybe Kerik smelled it in the wind.

14. there must be more to the story that has not been released
We all know the * admin does not give the first shit about any form of lawbreaking, nanny-gates, illegitmate children and questionable business deals. They would still make him HSC and say "fuck you" to the rest of us. Then they would say - take OUR moral values and stuff them up your lib ass.

There must be something more - something even worse.
