Your voice, presence and creativity is NEEDED tomorrow (Mon. 12/13) between 7am-1pm (any time you can spare) for San Diego's "Vigil for Democracy" on this date when the Electoral College meets to cast its votes in State Capitols across the nation. In front of the San Diego Federal Building (880 Front Street) near the corner of Front & Broadway, downtown San Diego! (3 hrs validated parking at Horton Plaza/take the Trolley to American Plaza/Civic Center Stations)
Add your voice and presence here in San Diego to the thousands across the country who have gathered this weekend and will also gather tomorrow to protest the casting of Electoral Votes while major questions about the accuracy of the popular vote remain in several states, most prominently Ohio. See the inspiring list of these events at Ohio Election Fraud (Formerly "Fairness") (see latest Calendar of Events entry).
Wear Black and/or Orange (in recognition of the Ukrainians who successfully overturned a similarly broken election process). We will have signs, but encourage creativity in making your own! We will be reading accounts from Ohio and elsewhere of Voter Suppression, Voter Initimidation, Mismarked and Misplaced Ballots, and Malfunctioning Electronic Voting Machines. We will also have info flyers to pass out to passersby during the Vigil.
In order to draw even more attention to this important story, which the mainstream media is still avoiding (albeit with increasing "cracks" in the dam on reporting it -- including TV news coverage of our Dec. 5th rally on 3 local stations), we are hoping to have a "Funeral Procession for Democracy" around the Federal Building -- and we need props! So if you have any appropriate costumes, props or signs (Get out those Halloween decorations! Grim Reaper, Tombstones, Caskets ...) -- wear them and/or bring them AND please call Elise Casby ASAP Today to let her know what you can bring: 619/295-1139.
Join other San Diegans to "BE the Media!"
Please Pass this Along, and THANK YOU for your help in our common cause!
