Anyone else a little disappoint over the Kerik thing?
I know it's a bit twisted to say this, but I kind of wish that Kerik had been confirmed by the Senate. I mean, anyone who took a few minutes to read about this guy or listened to AAR, could virtually guarantee that this whole nomination was going to end badly. And the further it went, the worse it would have been for Shrub. Had he been confirmed, you would have had a pissed off Senate who would have done everything it could to see how it was misled.

Don't get me wrong, I'm glad he's gone, but when you look at the myriad of ways this all could have ended, this is about the best the Bush people could have hoped for.

1. Hell, no - I'm glad it's over
Just remember that the Senate confirmed John Ashcroft - they wouldn't have given Comrade Kerik a second thought.

2. Well, it went far enough for Clinton and Shirmer to praise Kerik.
What is wrong with these two...voting for the war, praising Kerik, and coming up with all kinds of other right wing support. I am really ticked at them. A former hero and heroine going down in my eyes.

4. Naw. It's Shows the Shrubbite Incompetence, Arrogance, Sloppiness
All of NYC knew about KERIK. Alberto GONZALEZ's yes-man-itis couldn't even VET him. How can they handle INTELLIGENCE? Shrub has been trading on the 9-11-get-out-of-jail-free card. He, and all of his handlers, are train wrecks waiting to happen. I think GONZALEZ is the next one (oh, he'll get confirmed--------he'll just WRECK things).

5. Media Whore-in-Chief Bill Kristol declared it a "One Day Story" yesterday
While licking the boots of the president on Fox News yesterday, Kristol insisted this story really was "all about a nanny" and that there's nothing more to see here. "It's a one day story," he declared, insisting that it's time we moved on and started talking about really important things, like all the poor soldiers in Iraq.

I'm not kidding. I've been sick about this display since yesterday, and I'm waiting for it to pop up on David Brock's "Media Matters" site.

6. If one of us did what this guy did...
we'd be in prison. It must be nice having such powerful friends that you can flaunt the law at will.

7. That pretty much sums it up for me.
He gets a couple of days of bad press, and then gets to go back to his job of bilking the federal government out of TENS OF MILLIONS of dollars . And by the way, what exactly does Guliani Partners do??
This guy had more in his closet than just about anyone I've ever seen before -- every day another story came out.
