2. But, ugh, why did he have that SS privatizer on?
I couldn't stomach it. He came out with that VOICE, and right away talking about privatizing, it's just not what I expect to hear in Randi's timeslot.

...incidentally, how did that segment go?

4. Hartmann has people
like that on his normal show from time to time. Usually it's tough to listen to, except when a guy like Hartmann interviews them. He can bring out a fact from 2:17pm on a Thursday in March of 1832 and win the debate. It's ridiculous.

How did the segment go? Nothing out of the ordinary. If you like Hartmann, he blew him out of the water. If you like Ayn Rand, then the other guy won.

5. Ayn Rand?? No thanks!! Remember "The Fountainhead"?
But something Hartmann said really freaked me out-- I missed the beginning of the subject but what I heard is that the housing market is going to go belly-up and people will be selling their houses like crazy to get as much $$ back as possible...

It feels as if everything is collapsing...

6. First time I ever heard him on radio...
and I would love to see this guy get a slot on AAR. He came across as a smart measured thinker with a good radio personality style. I've read his writings before and knew he had a show on somehwere else, guess
I will have to track down an online feed of his regular show when Rhandi
gets back to her perch.

7. I listen to him regularly
He's on at the same time as Al Franken, and as much as I like Al, I usually have to pass to hear Hartmann. He says he likes to have conservatives like the guest today so his listeners will know what their talking points are and be able to show them how to counter those points. I thought he did an excellent job talking to that conservative caller, too. The guy kept having to agree with him.

8. I love him
He's smart, smart, smart, and easy to listen to. He's nice to the callers, too, even the conservatives. It has always bugged me that some of the others just hang up on people. Thom almost always thanks them for calling, and he sounds sincere.

I wish he was on AAR. I have to choose between him and Al Franken, so lately I've been missing Al and Katherine.
