A protest of 1 (or 2 if you count my dog)
I screwed up & thought the DC protest was on Sunday. Since I had told who knows how many people in person or on the net, I felt obligated to go to Lafayette Park and let anyone who showed up know that the protest was the day before.

So, I made a protest sign and Dunkirk (my very handsome 110 pound Rhodesian Ridgeback) and I went to DC. I took Dunkirk partly because he needed a walk and partly because I figured he might deter any rightwinger who disagreed with my signs: "Election 2004 was a fraud" and "Ghost Voters, Votes, lost, stolen, not counted". One protestor did show up and we had a nice chat. Several other people stopped to chat, but mostly I had very pleasent visits with the Secret Service outside the White House. One wanted to know how long I'd be there, but said there was no problem. None of the half dozen or so SS would talk politics, but we had a real nice time chatting about the dog.

Then, on the way back to the car, as I was chatting with another SS man, a woman with two girls, about 10 years old, asked what I was protesting. So the 2 girls got a lesson in the First Amendment, and that I, and many other people, didn't think the election had been fair.

All in all, an amazingly pleasant day: I would suggest that being a demonstration of one person (plus a dog, if you have one) is not a bad idea. A dog is an excellent ice breaker, even a big monster like mine.

1. We were protesting in front of the Capital at the other end of Mall

I wish we would have known you were there because we were at the capital for the 51CapitalMarch on Sunday. We are also meeting there again this coming Sunday to protest and visit with members of our party to discuss the events of the week.
