World view of Americans versus bush.
Polling found that Bush is viewed favorably by a majority of people in the United States. But that is not the case in Australia, Britain, Canada, France, Germany, Italy and Spain.

A majority of people in Britain, America’s strongest ally in the Iraq war, have an unfavorable view of Bush. Six in 10 Britons said they were disappointed he was re-elected.

At least (so far) a few nations are viewing us as separate from bush. Doubt that will last long. :(

1. information...pure and simple
it's all based on information...very few times (VERY VERY few times) has the American mainstream press provided the type of indepth and no holds barred coverage of issues that you see on the BBC or Al-Jazeera for that matter...thus, they get a sanitized version that conforms to white middle class sensibilities. That may great for corporate profits...horrible for the transmission of the world's reality.

And because of that, is why you still get people supporting this war. In my opinion, this disease of apathy requires VERY strong doses of videos of American soldiers dying the most horrible and painful deaths. It changes your perception quickly...not that I was pro-war from the beginning, but after seeing quite a few insurgent videos, you get the picture that it's hopeless there.

3. I was looking for this
I am also trying to find the same numbers from 1999 and right after September 11th for a piece I'm writing. If you know of anything with that I'd be appreciative
