Do the Bushes have Mafia ties?
My mind is muddled. I can't recall whether that's been explored or not, although I know there was a book titled "George Bush, the Mafia and the CIA."

Just wondering, after Bernard Kerik has been exposed as someone with probable ties to the mob.

On another note, the freepers are discussing the fact that Kerik's current wife is a Syrian-born Muslim, and the implications of that on national security.

The guy was so blackmailable. He must be crazy to expose himself to investigation.

8. go to...
...http://www.moldea.com and jot him a note and tell him you're looking for the book.

Or, alternatively, go to http://www.abebooks.com -- a site where used booksellers list their wares.

4. Brewton: "The CIA, The Mafia, and George Bush"
I've never seen anything to indicate very strong ties between the Bushes and the Mafia -- nothing stronger than the general CIA/Mafia connections.

The subject is an interesting one, but I don't think you're going to find a Bush/Kerik connection via the Mob.

6. Kitty Kelly's book "The Family" paints a pretty
disturbing picture of a Wasp Mafia. It seems that every business venture they are involved in, starting with Prescott the patriarch, enriched them at the expense of the workers and stock holders in those companies. I would really question their ties to the Saudi royal family, another group of gangsters, who repeatedly bail them out of bad business deals. Although Kitty doesn't point to any murder for hire, it might be a good place for an investigative journalist to start looking for suspicious deaths in their orbit.

9. House of Bush, House of Saud
discusses their business dealings with the Saudi family in detail. Also check out An American Dynasty.

They are their own crime family.

12. They ARE the New England Mafia
And the amount of money they've stolen makes the New York Mafia look like amateurs.

13. Yes. In a letter in the FBI files, GHW Bush said a friend of his was
planning to kill Kennedy in Texas. We know the mob was involved in that.
