There's a very fine line between what you're suggesting and codependence, which calls for keeping "Family Secrets," keeping everything hidden, to the detriment of EVERYONE.

DU happens to be a pubicly accessible forum. Randi Rhodes show happens to be fairly publicly accessible too. So we on the left are human, have human problems, foibles, faults. Does more harm than good to try to keep them secret.

You would prefer the truth NOT be known, NOT openly and publicly discussed? If so, that's very unhealthy behavior -- AND, in many circumstances (I'm not suggesting this is one), it helps protect the perps.
