Bush* was gung ho for Kerik |
Ny times reports that one of the reasons for the 'Kerik blunder' was because of Mr. bushs* enthusiasm for Kerik. This says way too much about the character of this man they call president. http://nytimes.com/2004/12/15/politics/15home.html?hp&ex=1103173200&en=09251fe68d0ba15a&ei=5094&partner=homepage

1. "...this guy's our guy..." |
<snip> Throughout the process, the Republican close to the administration said, everyone at the White House knew that Mr. Bush liked Mr. Kerik, placing him in the special category of "this guy's our guy." Mr. Bush admired Mr. Kerik for his service as New York City's police commissioner on Sept. 11, 2001, for his willingness to try to train the police force in Iraq and for campaigning tirelessly for the president's re-election.

4. Bush only cares about loyalty to HIM, not competence or America's security |
Bush rewards those who will cover up for him, denigrate his opponents, and carry his dirty water.
Bush gets rid of anyone who challenges his decisions, speaks the truth about his administration or gives honest budget numbers and analysis.

11. What is that old saying? |
Birds of a feather...? As one being protected by Homeland Security this stinks to high heaven. We know that this administration has the bar so low that you can crawl under it and still get a Presidential Medal of Freedom ala George Tenet. What a pathetic excuse for governing.

2. at least the Kerik oopsie is still in the news |
and getting uglier by the hour. No mere nannygate here - to have used an apartment donated post 9/11 for exhausted police and firemen working the twin towers site as his love nest for TWO mistresses WHILE married and with a pregnant wife?!? plus the jewelled badge he had given to himself, the busts of himself he had made.... and the hits keep a coming!
good moral xtian, that one was. actuazlly a perfect choice for the * admin.

8. Stalin surrounded himself with thugs. |
They were the people he was most comfortable with, they were a reflection of his soul. Kerik would have been Bush's L. P. Beria

12. Asscroft is a loony, driven by religious fervor. |
He's more of a Nazi true believer. Kerik however, is a opportunistic sociopath willing to do anything for power. Just like Beria. Maybe not on the same level as Beria, but had Bernie been giving the chance, I think he would have given ol' Lavrenta a run for his money.

15. He makes up his mind and won't change... |
...even in the most extreme circumstances. He liked Kerik for this job but ignores people when they tell him about his "colorful" past. That's nothing. He wanted to invade Iraq and he still didn't change his mind when someone else hit us on 9/11. This man is so narrow-focused, its incredible.
