whether the party is mad at us or not. Good answer from MoveOn founder on Al Franken.

It is just not that important whether the party is mad or not.

Good job.

3. Lampheer asked him how much trouble MoveOn is in with the party.
He gave that answer...that it was not their job to worry about it.
He is very right.

People misread that letter, even Howard Dean did on MTP. He was not speaking of just that group, he was speaking of the grassroots.

I am embarrassed that our party is backing away from MoveOn and Michael Moore.

Says it was very cynical. I am glad to see this being discussed out loud.

Am I the only one listening?

6. I'm listening, too
What struck me were the comments from the caller in Michigan (a big, blue state) who had virtually NO HELP from the national party this election season. WTF? Apparently the GOP is organized and ready to go 18 months out in all 50 states, but the Dems concentrate their efforts in the swing states only. How can we possibly expect to make any progress at all if this continues? (Yes, I know about BBV and cheating and all, but they can't fix all of the elections -- at least not yet.)

7. Who needs to hack the vote?
When the Democratic Party is as structurally weak as we are? We have this lumbering DNC the pulls its head from its backside every four years to try and elect a Democratic President. No wonder we've only won four presidential elections in the past forty years.

The Democratic Party has forgotten how to work the grassroots. They other guys filled the void and have been kicking our ass ever since.

9. this is the second time...
...in two days that a new DU member has tried to insinuate that moveon's leaders are skimming big bucks. I don't appreciate the attempt to discredit the organization.

for us, so I don't feel gypped, the way I felt with other groups I supported.
I am a proud Moveon member but I left the stupid middle class country club some time ago. I'd like to know how much mcAuliffe got paid for his disastruous "leadership" - where he couldn't see past fundraising?

11. Too funny
Same here. Everytime I go to a Moveon "get together" in Paris, France the subject of salaries and benefits is brought up.
