MSNBC poll: "Economy headed in right direction?" (68% say NO)
I'm guessing the 32% comes from "Freeping."

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/3080261/

Do you think the U.S. economy is heading in the right or in the wrong direction?

Right 32%
Wrong 68%

2. Wrong direction
Regardless of what the propaganda machines keep spitting out, things are getting worse.
Look at Holiday Sales numbers this year, most retail chains report lower than expected sales.
Go to the mall, you can find a parking place, even on the weekend.
While at the mall, look at the Salvation Army Giving Tree (for the less fortunate) They are loaded more than usual, and not getting taken care of as in the past.
We are sliding farther in to the recession

4. My spin on the economy
The media, and the government keep telling us that economic indicators are signalling a strong and recovering economy. Yet there are continued lay-offs, job growth is stagnant, energy prices are ridiculously high, and prices for consumable goods are through the roof.

I haven't had a raise in two years, and my boss just informed me that the company will be making neither bonuses nor year-end contributions to our 401K plans.

I am faced with a Christmas in which I have a grand total of about $200.00 to spend on gifts for my entire family.

And my boss just bought a farm in a pricey area of Florida, so apparently the economy is going ok with him. Real estate is a boon with the lowered interest rates, I guess. My best friend has a similar story, no raise, no bonus. But his boss just bought a shiny new Corvette to park next to his Hummer.

Retail sales in anything other than the luxary level are way way down, which is a clearcut indicator that this great economic recovery is not benefitting the lower and middle classes. Apologists are on the news nightly, saying recovery is a slow and piece-meal thing. All I know is that my paycheck is not going very far these days, and my Christmas is going to be meager.

5. Off course the economy is moving in the wrong direction
The dollar is falling like a rock and the deficits (both trade and budget) are the highest in history. Deficits do matter.

8. If the voter fraud by the GOP had not occurred, this would have been the
REAL vote tally. They have always had this core of about 34-38% total nut-cases.

9. 68% of people can think for themselves
so if we can get to those people, maybe we can win by such a huge margin the pubs will never be able to steal an election again.

10. Yet 51% voted for Bush?
Guess a strong economy did not concern them. Who cares if you can feed the family if you don't have same sex marriages? Who cares if they foreclose on your home if you are 'safer' from a terrorist attack? Who cares if your grandmother cannot afford to eat if you are that much closer to overturning legal abortion?

Priorities, that's what they have.
