You cannot trust a man that cheats on his mistress... |
|
Bernard Kerik is a snake in the grass. That is why he is so highly regarded by George W Bush.
His mistress, Judith Regan, supposedly broke off the relationship because his wife got pregnant. Then he threatened to poison her relationship with her two children. She got a special security guard because she felt threatened by him....etc..etc...
Now, people are questioning whether he had a "nanny" at all or if it was simply a lie to cover for all the other lies. Nobody has seen the "nanny" or knows anything about her. Just on general principle, it would be nice to see the press continue to investigate this little GOP charade.

1. Someone posted on another thread |
|
that claiming a "nanny problem" is the new equivalent of quitting "to spend more time with the family". That is, a convenient easy-to-swallow excuse that gets you out the door before more dirt can be unearthed.

2. Kerik is a snake, I agree |
|
This administration was really stupid on this one.
Bush came out and said that he supported Kerik after the nanny stuff broke, right?
The fundamentalists should be up in arms about Kerik what with the adultry and the false witnessing and all.

9. Josh Marshall asks this : |
|
<snip> "The Times found no evidence that such a woman ever existed. And even when pressed by people who suspect he made the whole story up, Kerik remains adamant in his refusal to provide any details whatsoever. It's very hard to read the Times story and not conclude that the whole nanny thing was a con.
So what's the White House's story? Did they just take Kerik's word for it, not ask for even the most perfunctory details and then repeat the nanny story from the press room lectern for days on end as gospel truth? Or were they in on the con too?"
