The advantages of losing the election: rub their noses in their hypocrisy
Many of us believed there was election fraud last month. That is being investigated.

However, since many of us believe “actions speak louder than words,” let’s see how we can take the actions of the Republicans this campaign season and use them to our advantage…

1. Views on the military—Republicans like to play up their support for the military. However, their behavior these past several months contradicts that. I suspect this gives us the greatest possibility to turn the actions (and words) back onto the GOP. I thought the most disgusting display during all of the campaign was the wearing of bandaids by GOP delegates to diminish Kerry’s deeds. That single image of the women (the one with the false teeth) wearing the bandaids with the purple hearts made my blood boil. Regardless of what one thinks of Kerry, making fun of the wounds he received while in the battlefield in service to his country was tasteless beyond belief. And this from the party whose own leader deserted his military obligation.

So what does this all mean as we begin another four years under “Il Duce?” It means we can hold the GOP’s collective feet to the fire when talk of a draft surfaces (and it will. Empire building cannot continue without it! Any DUers with knowledge of world history know of any time a nation embarked on nation building with an all-volunteer army only?). We can just say, “no way!” No way am I going to send my child to Iraq (Iran, etc) for Bush Family oil! No way am I going to allow my son or daughter to die for Bush Family interests! NO WAY AM I GOING TO PERMIT MY CHILD TO RETURN FROM DUTY ONLY TO BE SCORNED BY THE REPUBLICAN PARTY! And the GOP will scorn our children if they should be fortunate enough to return. The GOP has a history of this kind of behavior. Look at what it did to McCain, Clelland, and Kerry.

2. “Morals”—Republicans like to play up the image that their boy is so much more moral than the Democrats. Really? Rub their faces in the fact that Bush lacks “morals.” How? The definition of “morals” is “motivation based on ideas of right and wrong.” So what are Bush’s ideas of “right” and “wrong?”
1. Was it “right” to lie us into war?
2. Was it “right” to bomb innocent civilians in Iraq?
3. Was it “right” to sit and do nothing on 9/11?
4. Was it “right” to replace Saddam’s “rape and torture rooms” with George’s “rape and torture rooms?” Don’t forget, Saddam used these rooms to suppress political opposition. Isn’t that what George is doing?
5. The 9/11 Commission hearings is ripe for all kind of “moral” haziness. Was it “right” to oppose the creation of this commission? Was it “right” to prevent any White House officials to appear before the commission? Was it “right” for George to insist he appear without taking an oath? In secret? With Cheney at his side?
6. Was it “right” to snort coke at Camp David while his father was President and after his “born again” revelation? (Kitty Kelly quotes his former sister-in-law that this happened. How is this any different than the statements of the Swift Boat crew?—except that the SB crew got two-three weeks of coverage whereas Kelly got one day (at the most)).
In short, the GOP is loaded with moral hypocrisy. Since it made such a fuss about “moral” values this past campaign season, then rub their faces in this moral hypocrisy!

3. “Gesus and Jeorge”—Rove wants us to think the sudden shift of votes to George in the waning hours of the election was due to the Christian vote. Personally, I think this is a smokescreen to cover the weird discrepancies between the exit poll numbers and the “final” election numbers. But since George’s shills in the MSM claim this to be the reason, let’s question how George is so “Christian-like.” Use the “Jesus Christ and George W. Bush are having a beer together” scenario. After all, wasn’t this one of the criteria for electing Bush according the MSM?--that more Americans would rather have a beer with him than with the Democrat? It stands to reason then that Christ would also prefer to have a beer with him; morso than say, a pagan and heathen like Kerry, or Gore. So let’s say Bush and Jesus are having a beer and talking about Christian values. How would the actions of Bush hold up under real Christian scrutiny:

BUSH: You’re my favorite philosopher!
JESUS: Yes, I’ve heard that…
B: ...And your dad is my co-pilot!
J: ...Heard that too.
B: …And I’m a real “born-again” Christian! Many fundamentalist preachers have said so…! And so does the “media!”
J: While we’re on that subject, let’s look at your record…
B: Huh? My record?
J: Yes, your record. A history of your behavior. Tell me how your behavior is “Christian-like…”
B: Do I have to do this under oath. I don’t do oaths. I don’t testify. If I have to answer questions, I have Dick Cheney with me…
J: No, no…No need for an oath. Just tell me how you’re a Christian. Compare your behavior to the Ten Commandments*, for example.
B: Oh, well, let’s see… Uh, well…
J: Here, let me help…“I am the Lord thy God. Thou shalt not have strange gods before me.”
B: I don’t have strange gods before my co-pilot! I have only one true God, and he appears on our currency!
J: I see, well let’s try, “Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain”
B: Goddamn, that’s a tough one. Does “Fuck Saddam, we’re taking him out” or ”You fucking son of a bitch” count? I didn’t really say “God” I’m just a “good ol’ boy” and use salty language expected of “good ol’ boys…”
J: Well, let’s pass on that one…but, it doesn’t really sound “Christian-like,” does it… Let’s take a look at “Remember thou keep the Sabbath Day”
B: Oh, yeah…oh, yeah…I know that one! I don’t work at all on the Sabbath, in fact I don’t work at all!
J: How about, “Honor thy Father and thy Mother”
B: Well, I did duke it out with my father one time and I did talk about “pussy” with him another time. Is that honoring him?
J: Hmmm… Let’s go on to the next one, “Thou shalt not kill”
B: Oh, well, that’s easy… Uh...uh...Do 100,000 Iraqis count? I mean, they’re not Christians, so I’m not really killing anybody, am I?
J: But aren’t they also the children of God?
B: Yeah, but, it’s that other God. Not your dad! And my God can beat up their God!
J: OK, how about “Thou shalt not commit adultery”
B: I’m safe on that one!
J: Then “Thou shalt not steal”
B: Well, does that include insider trading with Harken stock, grabbing land for a Texas sports stadium, invading a sovereign country for its oil?
J: I think you’re the best judge of that… How about “Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor?”
B: What does “false witness” mean?
J: “Lie”
B: Oh, well, I...I mean…
J: Did you not lie about WMDs?
B: But Saddam wasn’t my neighbor! He’s halfway around the world! That commandment refers to lying about a “neighbor”!
J: Hmmm, what about “Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's wife”
B: Well, there was a girl named Robin Lowman back in Texas. I knocked her up and paid for her abortion. But she was the daughter of a neighbor...! Besides, now I'm not gonna allow anyone else to have an abortion...!
J: Let’s finish this up, the final one is “Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's goods.”
B: I never had to covet anything! I’ve always had what I wanted! Except oil, of course. I suppose you might say I coveted Saddam’s oil, but that’s not really like wanting Saddam’s wife! I think this is a trick question…
J: Well, let’s tally up the results. Let’s see, you can claim to have “obeyed” Nos. 6 and 9, and were somewhat marginal on Nos. 1 and 3. But you fell flat on your face on Nos. 2, 4, 5, 7, 8, and 10. Not a very good record of “Christian-like” behavior, is it?
B: Waaah! I AM a Christian! The media told me so! Waaah! I don’t wanna do this anymore! I wana go home! Waah-waah!
J: Finish your beer, George. I need to leave...I’ve got souls to save…

So how does George really stack up agains the Ten Commandments? Ask your friends and co-workers who voted for him simply because he is a “Christian” and rub their noses in their hyprocrisy…!!!

These are only three areas for “discussion” (ie, rubbing GOPers’ noses in their hypocrisy). Any more?
