PAPER CLIPS! A cartoon, resources, info
I've just finished a Chistmas cartoon, and managed to make it a head-scratcher for many who won't know what the Paper Clip reference is about. So I added links and some clips from the DU threads, plus the downloadable card link.

If you want to give people a brief one-stop source for information on the paper clip symbolism, my site is now a decent source. Not comprehensive, but with enough resources to get anyone started. Check it out!

9. Atman - I love the cards too!
The cards will make it so much easier to share the message too.

Did you ever make a 10 print version for card stock printing? I would appreciate having that file so I could create in masse!

I started wearing the clip yesterday and wore a clip bracelet to show that I had extras to share with those that asked too. It got attention but the cards would help for those that ask as well.

You have done a great job on this "campaign" Atman. Thanks so much for your hard work!

10. Great job indeed!

The Clip is catching on.

I think the Solidary Cards that you talked about originally are the key to its success.

Wish there was a way that you could package them for the January 20th rallies.

Is that possible?

12. I have an intersting paper clip story to share.
Note: I started the day wearing three clip -- one on each layer of clothes (jacket, sweater, shirt collar):

Yesterday I was sitting in my car in a parking lot waiting for a friend. I was facing out in the first spot with an empty spot behind me. I was off in the "deep thought zone" when all of a sudden I feel my car lurch forward as if someone had gently hit my bumper.

I turn to see what happened and I see an older gentleman getting out of the car behind me, laughing out loud. My first thought was "he just hit me and he is cracking up about it?" So, I open my door as he approaches and he is still laughing really hard. He catches his breath and said, "I am really sorry. I bumped you. I was reading your bumperstickers and that one about the idiot missing in the village in Texas just struck me as so funny, I forgot to put on the brake." Any other response would have probably have been met with at least a little grumbling from me, but his honestly and his pleasure in my stickers was just enough to make me laugh along with him. I looked at my bumper and there was a small ding but all things considered I figured "If that is the worst thing that happens to either of us today, we are doing just great". He laughed with me again and went on his way.

My friend showed up and we went about our errands. When I returned to my car, he was also returning to his. I took the opportunity to approach him this time and offer him an extra clip that I had on my jacket. He was at first perplexed but grasped the concept very quickly. He reminded me that he was older than I was but was very pleased to see that we "youngsters" were doing the hard work, including our homework into how to make change and stop what happened before WWII from happening here. I placed the clip on his collar and he thanked me for sharing it with him. Needless to say, I felt really good for having had such a happy accident.

Then, I go to work. A friend came in and approached me just as I was dealing with one of the republican ward leaders for that area. I don't work in politics but this repug is often in my area and had hinted several times that he is interested in me. (yuck, I know, but I can't call him out on it just yet for business reasons) Anyway, my friend approaches and just happens to ask about my clip. It gives me the perfect opportunity to "kill two birds with one stone". I answer his questions about the clip in just close enough proximity for this repug to hear. The friend wanted a clip, so I gave him the extra one that I was wearing on my sweater.

I ended the day with only one clip. I think it was a most productive day for the movement for me.
