Not enough up-armored Humvees? Blame Congress!
On Inside Politics, JW with Bay Buchanan and Donna Brazille were discussing Rummy's problems with all the Repug Senators now slamming him.

Bay Buchanan stated that we have all known this is a problem for a year so why didn't these Senators do something. They do have a responsibility for Congressional Oversight.

Congressional Oversight? What is that?

The House Judiciary Democrats are holding their own Hearings on the 2004 election.

The Senate Democrats have already come out and said they will hold their own investigations because the current Senate leadership seems to believe their job, like the CIA's, is to simply promote the Bush agenda.

I'd love to see this stir up some more problems between the WH and Congressional Republicans.

While continuing to slam Bush and Rummy, we should also start blaming McCain, Hagel, Lott, Snow, etc.'s for not doing their own damn jobs.

Keep stirring the pot.

1. Before anyone starts blaming Congress
I have a little motto I use in our company.

"We are not the Carnac and Kreskin Software Development Company."

You can't act on what you don't know, and unless Rumsfeld and his merry band of bomb-droppers are willing to come to Congress and say "we need X", then I doubt very seriously Congress is going to approve stuff they think the Pentagon needs and doesn't want, especially when the money is getting tight.

Unless Ms. Cleo is on Senate Armed Services, I don't think we are going to get anywhere.

3. There have been many reports of families scrounging to find the
materials to send to their family members in Iraq.

You didn't have to be a mind reader to know this was a problem.

We all knew it was a problem and you would assume the members of the Senate actually know more about it then we do.

I believe John Kerry brought this up daily but then maybe that is a reason why those Senators didn't want to pursue the matter. Tough luck for the soldiers, I guess.

5. Sadly your words are very true
and I forgot to indicate my sarcasm. My fault.

I was serious, though when I said there is nothing exotic or sexy about armor. It just doesn't sell. It is about as sexy as toilet paper.

2. You go to War with the (R) Congress you have, not the (D) Congress you...
want.
