Yes! Rumors circulating that M. Sheen may run for Ohio Gov!
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE let it be true!

Link to a local Cleveland story that doesn't say much, but it's still the best news I've heard in years! :)

http://www.wkyc.com/news/news_fullstory.asp?id=27744

Maybe we should email him and give him some gentle encouragement. :)

1. I'd go to Ohio and vote for Martin Sheen for governor!
...it seems that you can do that in Ohio and be from another state.

52. We want him to run for Senate in CA. He can't run in Ohio.
Besides, he lives in Malibu. We've got to get rid of Feinstein in the primary. She always votes with the neocons on economic and "terrorism" issues.

12. Full of himself
I believe he will do about as well as Jane Hathaway did when she ran for Congress. Playing a President on TV does not mean you are qualified to be Gov. California elects actors, not Ohio.

14. I would vote for Martin Sheen in a heartbeat. (He still makes
my heart beat, he is such a neat guy, geniune and an activist). He is an natural born citizen, isn't he? Let him be governor and then move over St. Raygun, another former actor to lead the nation, but this time one that is ethical and intelligent.

BTW: Jimmy Smit as the presidential candidate on West Wing is going to give new life to the show. And lord, if we could get a candidate like him to run for office, we wouldn't have to worry about crooked elections, every woman in the nation would vote for him! :loveya:

9. Little Boots (*) is a fake fake president
He's just an occupier of the Oval Office. That's why it came so naturally to him to send our troops to occupy Iraq.

There is nothing real about Little Boots, except that he's a real sociopath.

15. Yes, and he remembers his lines too!
Chimpy should watch the show sometime, he might learn what a REAL president is supposed to look like. On second thought chimpy taking acting lessons from Martin Sheen would not be a good thing. If he could ever gain an attention span of over five minutes he might actually learn something!

11. During this campaign for this presidential race, he was very upset with
the Chimp and the job losses in Ohio! He would take trips down there and just look at the devasting affects that unemployment was having on the entire state and the severe decay of the neighborhoods.

21. Dontcha know...
J Kenneth Blackwell has been 'promised' this position. Martin Sheen doesn't have a chance, Blackwell has it wrapped up just as long as he continues to stand up for truth, justice and the American way... (or somethin' like that)

I'm trying to figure out if it would even be possible to cheat enough to help Blackwell win, my guess is that he isn't a well loved man and unlike others who might be able to get away with it, a black man and his mistakes are not soon forgotten(with the exception of Marion Barry, hmmm).

They'll probably tell him, 'sorry Kenny boy, can't do it, not even we would be able to keep a straight face about this one, guess you're SOL.'

I keep thinking, has he had buyers remorse yet, or does he still think he's helping someone that will help him? If so, he's a very stupid man, he'll soon figure out what the color of his skin will get him in a so called Bush America.

Hm, I think I will send him as much in a little note.

25. he would have political establishment support, too
...he did a spot with former Sen. John Glenn that ran for the last 2-3 weeks here in Ohio almost on the hour, LOL. "Senator Glenn and I" care about Ohio (paraphrasing). It was very classily done, with Glenn standing right there with him speaking too. You can't get any more legitimate than that. And until then, I didn't know he was from Ohio.

COOL!

I'd work for his campaign in a heartbeat.

but call me a pessimist. I don't think he'd win in a state like Ohio. It seems too conservative.

He would make a great leader. Hasn't he been an activist for various issues for many years (anti proliferation, etc...). I think he was even arrested during a few protests.
