The hypocrisy of BushCo regarding Kerry's ideas is maddening
Nobody in the media stopped to point out that the reason why Bush and Kerry's written plans for Iraq looked so similar was because Kerry got there first! Bush was the one who moved towards Kerry's position.

On Iraq, remember how Bush ridiculed Kerry for saying he would hold summits? I expect Bush to attempt a summit himself quite soon.

Or how when Kerry said he was going to do his utmost to get US troops out of Iraq within a year, four years worst case they railed that he couldn't set a time limit. And yet now Rumsfeld comes out and says its his goal to get out in 4 years.

And although I can't find a link it turns out that one of bush's prospects for HS Secretary, Frances Townshend is known for advocating that terrorism needs to be taken seriously as a "law enforcement" matter.

Of course, they'll botch all of the above.

And people and pundits will say that Bush did the best he could have done and Kerry couldn't have done anything differently. Complete and utter bullshit. People laughed when Kerry said it, but it was true: he could do things Bush could not. Kerry could have gotten some international support, he could have offered the world a breath of fresh air. He certainly wouldn't be relying on incompetents like Rumsfeld.

Bait-and-switch.
