Um... Tara Setmayer
who is described as a "Republican strategist" on CNN and was on its morning program.

As Christiane Amanpour is trying to explain to an ignorant person on a funny ad: It is EEraq, Iraq, like Israel, or Italy, not Ayraq, like Ireland or Iceland. If you are going to support an occupation - which, being a "strategist" you probably are - at lest learn how to pronounce its name.

Or is this a result of Republicans thinking in terms of I, I, I?

2. despicable language
I've repeatedly heard Bush say, "We had no other alternative but to go to war". God the man grates my ears everytime he opens his yap.

Hey President Dichhead, "no other alternative" is fucking redundant!
I had no choice but to tell you that; the alternative is to be wrong.

3. it's arrogance.
if you want to insult someone you deliberately mispronounce their name. to pronounce it correctly is to admit that they are equal and deserving of respect.

4. Just like Poppy did
With Saddam Hussein - he persisted in calling him "Sad-em" even after being corrected. His way of insulting and trivializing him.
