Susan Sarandon and hubby guest hosting the late, late show
They took stabs at Fox, Bush, Arnold, Mel Gibson, Jenna Bush, Rush and others.

I hope she keeps the show. She is easy on the eyes.

2. You guys have got to watch this
I've never seen a show this blatantly and openly liberal.

It will never last, see it while you can.

Ferguson Named New Host 'Late Late Show'
Tue Dec 7, 6:23 PM ET

By DAVID BAUDER, AP Television Writer

NEW YORK - So much for being a TV hotshot: Craig Ferguson spent the first night after finding out he'd been selected as the new host of CBS' "The Late Late Show" sleeping in his car. After months of on-air tryouts for Craig Kilborn's replacement, CBS announced Tuesday the selection of Ferguson, the Scottish actor who portrayed boss Nigel Wick on "The Drew Carey (news) Show" for eight years.

He'll start Jan. 3.

Ferguson was in Vancouver filming a movie when he got the word late Monday, and he immediately began driving toward his Los Angeles home. Near Grant's Pass in Oregon, he searched for a hotel room but couldn't find one. So he slept in a parking lot.

"It made me laugh," he said. "I should probably do that every now and again."

Ferguson, who wrote and starred in the films "Saving Grace" and "The Big Tease," passed through a gauntlet of on-air tryouts set up by Worldwide Pants, David Letterman's production company. He was one of four finalists with actor Michael Ian Black, comedian D.L. Hughley and MTV "Total Request Live" host Damien Fahey.

7. I'm telling you, somehow they slipped in by the CBS execs
there will be hell to pay after this. I'm waiting for them to say something really radical. They've already said Bush is a liar, the election was stolen, the war is wrong, Rumsfeld should resign, and they are drinking martinis.

What's next?

but they did a Christmas card segment.

The one from Arnold said "Season's Gropings"

From Gibson : "goodwill towards men (mostly christians)"

They just warned about the Patriot Act II and promoted Air America

9. Let's send thank you notes to CBS.
I saw a few minutes- she mentioned "those black boxes"! Gore Vidal was fantastic and yes- an Air America plug as well.

10. Link to email the show and say thank you!

I applauded the show and thanked them for giving progressive voices an opportunity to share their views on national television. Also mentioned how thrilled that they mentioned the possibility of election fraud.

14. I turned it on last night, and Sarandon was NOT on!
Do you think they aired different episodes in different cities? I live in L.A. And I checked the show THREE times. Nadda.

15. Don't know what to tell you.
It was on in DC last night. Who was on in LA? Maybe they got complaints and aired a taped show.

16. I forget who was on...but definitely NOT Sarandon as a guest OR host.
I thought about it again today, and probably they were 'censored' due to their numerous references about Election Fraud. The network and/or Repugs without a sense of humor probably complained. Because they were definitely NOT on. If that's true, then the Network AND show both need papered with emails.

I'll watch again tonight just to make sure. Although normally I assume they play the same episodes on the same nights nationwide.

17. I wouldn't be surprised. She pulled no punches.
Neither did Robbins or Gore Vidal.
