Person of the Year -- Ahhhhhhhhhhhh
From Drudge:

"FLASH: TIME MAG EDITORS FOCUS ON BUSH FOR 'PERSON OF THE YEAR'... ANNOUNCEMENT SET FOR SUNDAY MORNING... BUSH ARE ALL 'BUT A LOCK,' TOP MAGAZINE SOURCE TELLS DRUDGE... DEVELOPING"

Slimt Time, if true -- though Hitler was man of the year, so . . .

3. How can Bush be
person of the year? There's so much wrong with that.... That's like on Barbra Walters' special Karl Rove was number one. Over Michael Moore? He's made more impact on our society then Rove.

4. I would disagree
Rove has made a HUGE impact on our society - hell the whole world - it is entirely a negative impact, but I would say bigger than MM by a long shot.

5. Person of the year
Yes, indeed Rove is that. He might well one day be considered the person that caused the downfall of American society. You don't really think * could of accomplished all this w/o THIS evil mastermind do you? * is just the guy that carries the message, and the media wants to leave us w/ the impression Rove was just *'s lacky. The fact the media wants to leave this message to the world only proves that they are just as interested in getting their names down in the history books as * and his administration is. They really don't care whether it is for good or bad.

25. Rove
Glad to see that people are getting on board with just how much influence Rove has. I agree that he has a lot and that it's all negative. I consider him and Dick Cheney the 2 most despicable people in the US. Rumsfeld is in there as well. Bush is just their lackey so he gets a bit of a break for now.

As I post frequently, I can only hope that some journalist somewhere will grow a spine and REALLY investigate what happened in Florida in 2000 re: the phony felon list. Then it'll be bye bye Rove. AND his flunky, the President.

42. This administration is just like
his fathers administration. The real brains behind the presidency of both of these administrations are evil to the bone. That is, in part, why I'm truly afraid that * will be removed and Cheney will take over. When I watched him in the debates w/ Edwards I could see the EVIL in his eyes from the minute the camera found his ugly mug! His opening comment was all it took for all the sheeple to tune out everything Edwards said from that point on. While I thought Edwards did an excellant job at that debate, it was to no avail. Cheney is the sheeple's hero. They loved him in the Gulf War "movie." They were mesmerized by his pyrotechnics show!

11. I read on another site that "Kelly" of Time is considering "Bloggers"
I went to Time website, and emailed them. Why doesn't everyone?
I mean, what have we got to lose. They have until 8:00 a.m. tomorrow to reveal their choice. And it's either nominate ourselves, OR Karl Rove. Should be an easy choice.

After all, "Bloggers" ARE the wave of TRUE future news! We ARE the newsmakers, much as they hate to admit it.

15. For the last time, Person of the Year is NOT an award
It's meant to be the person who had the most impact on world events in a year. Of course, often they cop out - the last three years have been ridiculous.

But it's perfectly reasonable to make Bush the person of the year b/c he's president, he just won reelection, and whether or not you like him, he's had a major impact on the world. A negative impact, but an impact nevertheless.

For instance, Osama should definitely have been person of the year in 2001 b/c he'd obviously had the biggest impact on the year's events.

16. but the fact that Osama was NOT person of the year in 2001
and "america's mayor" Rudy Giuliani shows that it HAS turned into something of an awards thing.

especially since the person of the year after rudy has been the group of whistle blowers and the american soldiers.

18. If it is Chimpus Khan, I agree. He deserves it.
No one of the face of the earth has had more impact on more people's lives than this man. Now, if it is Rove, then Time is looking at the real power behind King Khan, but would be right in line with my sentiments.

Time has never held that their "Man of the Year" was a positive statement.

The fact is, from domestic American issues, to the War in Iraq(tm), to the trade impabalance, to environmental issues, to human rights issues, to impact on world travel policies, to the exchange rate of the dollar, Great Leader's influence is felt worldwide. None of it good, to be sure, but certainly front and center in most people's thinking.

He is likely to be seen by history as the most reviled world leader since Hitler, and that's no small feat. Given enough time, he could be on a course to even exceed Hitler.

Can anyone name a person who has had more impact than this? Anyone?

Time Magazine is owned by Time-Warner, who also owns CNN who fixed our primaries, trashed Kerry and protected their native son, Bush.

Guess the election is over and Time-Warner (parent Co. of CNN) has settled on paying the SEC 510 Million dollars as a settlement stemming from the Income Stock/advertising AOL fraud case that the Gov. has been hanging over their heads for the last 1.5 years.

To be honest, I don't give a rat's ass who Time Magazine selects; what Time Magazine thinks; nor what they report. It's all bullshit and propaganda anyways. I'll leave it up to the Sheeples to find this "person of the year" turd food to be interesting and thought provoking. Me....I've got a loooooonnnnnnnnnggggggggggg memory.

Time Warner Settles AOL Fraud Charges
Thu Dec 16, 7:55 AM ET
Media giant Time Warner Inc. agreed Wednesday to pay $510 million to settle government charges of accounting fraud at its troubled America Online unit, freeing the company to use its stock for acquisitions.

settlement would remove the uncertainty clouding the future of the world's largest entertainment company, accused by regulators of inflating the advertising revenue of its Internet service provider.

Wall Street had been expecting a deal, because Time Warner set aside $500 million last month to resolve problems with the government. Time Warner stock has climbed more than 15% since.

The two-pronged agreement would be with both the Justice Department (news - web sites) and the Securities and Exchange Commission (news -web sites). It must be approved by SEC commissioners.

Wall Street analysts had been prepared a year ago for the accounting debacle to cost Time Warner as much as $4 billion in penalties and litigation. But Chief Executive Richard Parsons took a hard stance with regulators, refusing to admit guilt even though that might have more quickly resolved the investigations.
