Bill Moyers makes his last appearance on NOW an important one; showing how the right-wing media has hijacked the information highway. Moyers tells the story of how "opinion" has been turned into "news" with an expert delivery system that supports the republican party's candidates and agenda.

That was an excellent episode of Now. The censorship by Clear Channel was particularly startling. It was yet another demonstration of the increasing weakness of liberal voices in the media. We really need some of the rich Democrats to step up to the plate and start buying media outlets. The other option is cooperative ownership of radio and television stations. Progressive voters have donated hundreds of millions over the course of the 2004 election cycle. Perhaps we should pool our money to buy media outlets.
