I agree with her. She is discussing the recount. Said something about a request from NM for Kerry to get involved, and he did not respond. I missed the details.

Bookman on now says no evidence Bush won, just claims. He is with the Atlanta Journal Constitution.

4. Miller says Edwards did NOT want Kerry to concede.
Interesting stuff here. Miller says I am no Democrat, but since concession I am further away.

3. Hey, madfloridian
I hate to change the subject, but how the hell are you doing?

Everyone sort of forgot about poor, beleaguered Florida, what with elections and war and all, but I imagine things are still pretty messed up your way.

Give us an update. I hope things are better for you and yours.

And thanks for the head's up on AAR. Don't get it here, but soon...

5. Ok, but over 3000 still homeless from storm.
With more than 100 becoming homeless daily. Unbelievable.... The houses are damaged, not getting repaired, and just finally getting unliveable.

I am not over those storms yet. I panic when I see clouds in the sky.

14. This is sad. No time to be homeless- in the winter
Thanks for the sad news. Post an update somewhere. Maybe more folks can help.

15. Motels still pretty full.
FEMA has had trailers standing half filled while they were doing paperwork. I know some folks who rent their home, it was destroyed, have been in a motel until last Friday...when FEMA found them a trailer. Then they will have to move again when they find a rental home. We have helped them some, but only so much we can do. Some churches have adopted folks, but it is not organized and many are not getting help.

The sad part is that they are keeping it out of the news because of Jeb.

6. Thanks for posting this. What do you make of the A-J C editor on now?
I mean, his reasons for not covering the election problems?

I heard him say that (a) it's not local (he's in Atlanta and story is in Ohio), and (b) on a national level, basically it's not noteworthy unless the election will be overturned.

10. I guess I'm wondering if the editor was giving the real reasons?
By the way I'm glad to hear you're okay. I'm very sorry to hear about the increase in homeless people there.

9. PNAC
Jay Bookman wrote the first piece about PNAC that I ever read in MSM. He took quite a hit for that. He was contacted about the Georgia 2002 elections and BBV, and wouldn't cover that one either.

So...sometimes he's up and sometimes he's snot.

11. Yes, great article. He does a lot of good stuff. Just wrong here.
We have got to get our voting figured out or lose our democracy.

Just about the time I posted the OP. I thought it was Bookman, but Miller was on first. Bookman is bugging me.
