Would it be considered a threat to the President to construct large wooden W's and burn them?
I think the image of thousands of burning W's across the country is beautiful.
I'm not encouraging anyone to do it, but if you do--or if you just happen to run across any photographs of such large, wooden, burning w's--send them to me, I'll host them.

3. Because the south loves Bush? |
|
Or because of the negative assocuiations with things that burn in the south.
I have to say I didn't even think that at first. i was actually thinking about the 231st anniversary of the Boston Tea Party, which just took place on December 16th.
"Hmmm..." I thought to myself, "We can't dump Bush into the harbor, nor do I want to dump anything into any body of water. That's nasty"
"What if we burned something?"
Then the idea came.
I'd like to do it. I'd like to do it publically, somwhere where thousands will see it. Somewhere where the nightly news might catch it.

4. I'd think it was a mad, mad world. |
|
It would rile some people that's for sure. But since such a thing could be a bit of a disturbance, I do wonder how the local authorites would handle it. And the local press.

7. Get one of those stupid "W: The President" signs and burn it! |
|
I think I'm going to pick up an "F the President" sticker and put it on my car.

8. Really like your idea...but consider |
|
that didn't the KKK burn crosses in the name of Christianity because they thought they were righteous? So by burning W's, with the same distorted logic, wouldn't it be seen as a tribute to the *?
I love your idea of civil disobedience, I'd just want to make sure the message was correctly interpreted. Burning an effigy of * is unmistaken, although not as clever as your idea.

12. thats whay I like the idea of a series of W's going up in smoke |
|
A single W, nobody will understand.
10 or 20, people will speculate
100 or 1000, people will get the message.
Especially if they were coordinated somehow, like on the night of Bush's innauguration?
You know, some people may misunderstand, and think it's an anti-War mesage.
But thats OK too :)

11. Actually, if the KKK claims to be KKKhristians, but burn crosses...... |
|
....then wouldn't burning "W's" be considered the highest showing of respect, as the new Freeper/Klan Messiah, at least in their fucked up sheet covered heads?
