Someone explain this to me, please.
The powers that be in the Democratic party are supporting Roemer over Howard Dean for party chair because he is from a red state? What the f*ck does that have to do with anything? Edwards was from a red state and that did not help Kerry carry North Carolina. Do they really think repugnantcans will vote democrat if the party chair is from a red state? I don't get it.

With the support of Reid and Pelosi, Roemer immediately has an advantage over the declared candidates, former presidential candidate Howard Dean and former Clinton aide Harold Ickes.

Reid is strongly encouraging a Roemer bid, according to the sources.

Roemer's experience on the 9/11 commission, together with the fact that he comes from a "red state" -- one that voted for President Bush -- were decisive factors in Reid's decision to back him, the sources said.

1. A lot of them(the powers that be) want to get rid of the Northeast--
liberal thing.Maybe that's the reason they are avoiding Dean.

4. Maybe you're right.
However, I don't place Vermont in the same category of New York or Massachusetts. To the mouth breathing knuckledraggers, all blue states are the same.

3. It's a conspiracy.
We centrist DLC Dumbocrats are trying to wrest party control from the Birkenstock wing of the party.

5. Because they are stupid ??
They would rather have the camel outside pissing in than on the inside pissing out. Dean is much more of a headache to them on the outside than on the inside..

7. How do you know that it is a red state? Can you prove it is?
The Republicans can't prove the state voted for *. if they could, they would have done it by now.

What is a Vapor Vote any way? how would you do a visual inspection of a Vapor vote?

8. they are followers, not leaders
that is the bottom line.

They are folllowing the republican party right to the bottom of the ditch.

They have no concept of how to lead, what it entails, or even what the definition of it is.

They pander to what they think is the zeitgeist of the country.

And they are always wrong.

Which is why they are under a rock and they don't even know it.
