14. I am really enjoying Katherine and Joe - I think they are intelligent |
|
and each is giving the other opportunity to talk, & interview.
I haven't been listening to Air America for long - I really like it, it is my favorite station now. I only catch Al and Katherine late at night, I haven't been impressed by Al but Katherine really knows her stuff. I have to admit I am a fan of hers, she had a very good show on MPR (MN Public Radio) for years that I enjoyed. She does her homework. Knowing in depth the issues to be discussed at the time of an interview - isn't that what is wanted?

|
That's why he doesn't do anything about it. If you listen to his commercial on the subject for the Ohio Democratic Party, he sounds significantly more in step with us.

Al was for the war, just like Kerry cause he believed the lies. I think lefties simply have better lie detector brains than others.

be embarrassed because he was wrong about something. Al doesn't strike me as that sort. He was wrong about the Iraq invasion that he once supported. He admits frequently that he was wrong. That's life. You win some and lose some. No reason to have a cow about it.

35. "Egg on his face" because.... |
|
I used to listen to him every day since the summer....he really has been condescending about this whole vote fraud thing. He honestly thought we "believers" were nuts! He wanted nothing to do with any post-election activity! Until the DNC paid him to do a commercial, that is! He *should* be embarrassed about that.

19. It's just a different show. Conason is serious and a little stiff... |
|
...but good as well.
I know some people her at DU don't like Al becuase he's not screaming like a banshee about the election fraud. I think he's waiting until all the evidence is in as well as looking at not being seen as a tinfoil hatter when he runs in 2008.
Al has been on the show via SatPhone anyway...

I like the bit they did this week with the dittohead when Joe was talking about Rush vacationing in Paris and smoking Communist cigars whilst laughing at all the little people. Classic...

The Al Franken show is the best Air America show, the Randi Rhoades show the worst. I would like to have some data on their ratings....I undersatnd Al's show has the strongest ratings.

32. unfortunately, the ratings of air personalities aren't usually made public |
|
...unless an Arbitron subscribing station makes them so. Typically the station's overall ratings are what is released to the press.
That being said, Al's show has gotten the most attention for obvious reasons and he has beaten the likes of Limbaugh and Hannity in various markets.
Rhodes, on the other hand, has a loooong history of slaughtering the competition.

It takes more to be an entertaining on-air personality than a vast knowledge of the issues - much more. Which is why he is a writer.
