4. Norm "Tuna Sandwich" Coleman
That toadie would be a disgrace to the Senate no matter what, but the fact that he snuck in because of Wellstone's death puts him over the top.

5. inhofe
raises stupidity to an art form. He would be comical, if it weren't for the fact that his chair position lets him go be the face of America at international climate change conferences.

8. The junior senator from PA, by a landslide.
-In fairness, I'll give some points give to a certain senator from Arizona who shows occasional evidence of having a spine, and then reverts back to jellyfish mentality.

-also, a shout-out to Senator Dole. Thanks for (not) representing me!

12. Kentucky has the distinction of having two of the worst
Mitch McConnell - evil, nasty lying man who has consistently run the dirtiest, mean-spirit campaigns every single time. There is no lie he isn't willing to spread if it gets him one damn vote - there isn't one piece of pork barrel legislation he isn't willing to fund if it keeps him on the "home team." (His wife, Elaine Chao got her job as Secretary of Labor as payback for humping for Bush in 2000.) He is secretly funding the McConnell School of Public Policy at (or some other dumb ass name) at the University of Louisville with secret funds and refuses to release the names of the contributors declaring they "deserve" their anonymity. State school - secret money - spells monkey business to me. Local paper has been fighting him for years to force him to release the donors names. McC has lost every single court ruling but he still refuses. Think he is just going to keep pushing until it hits his friends at the Supreme Court. He has friends up there to take care of this little matter. This is just the tip of the iceberg for Mitchie Meanness.

Jim Bunning - senile, hateful, homophobic, chicken shit, ex-ball player who doesn't have a clue where he is, who he is, or what he is suppose to say from minute to minute. He is so far up McConnell's ass he isn't even allowed to take the standard deduction on his income tax return as an individual!

And they are the best the GOP could come up from this red state?

37. Yeah, we've done a hell of a job, haven't we?
On the bright side, the McConnell Center is used a great deal by the College Dems, probably more so than our right-wing counterparts. There's a delicious sense of irony, meeting with Democratic state and Congress challengers in a room with Mitch McConnell's name embossed on the podium.

And needless to say, almost the entire department is extremely liberal, as anyone could tell just by looking inside the faculty offices. I don't know if he knows this or not.

13. All but maybe two or three
republican senators...

Oklahoma likely has the worst pair of senators. Onhofe and Coburn...God what a pair if freaks.

In fact, looking at the new batch of frosh GOP senators, it's hard to choose - you've got Vitter of LA who was buddies with David Duke, that freak from SC DeMint that said single mothers and gays/lesbians shouldn't teach in schools, Thune (who won by racist tactics against Native Americans), Coburn (abortion doctors should be executed)...and of course the new guy from FL...

Hmmm probably missing some though.

Hatch, Coleman, and McConnel are pretty baad though. YEch!

18. My own top the list...
1. Icky-Ricky Santorum
2. Arlen "Spineless" Specter

Followed, in no particular order, by...

-Mitch McConnell-does it creep anyone else out that this guy has a young, relatively good-looking wife like Elaine Chao?

-John McCain-watching him gives me whiplash

-Bill Frist-the cat thing is plain weird

And then of course, just about everyone else with the "R". I don't have time to list them all!!!
