So Gallup says *'s approval is 49%, what is it REALLY at? |
|
And what will it be when the Iraqis elect a government that tells us to get the fuck out of Iraq?

1. Even if they tell us, do you really think we'll go? |
|
More likely, we will say "No, you're not ready yet" and stick around.

4. Bush would be destroyed politically |
|
That would de-legitimize the government and cause a massive uprising of the Iraqi people against us. Because if there was any doubt that we were occupiers before, it would be gone.

5. 39% is pretty optimistic. |
|
it's probably closer to 50% for the RW fundies (most of whom are pissed over spending) and about 20% for the rest of Jesusland. Maybe it's down to 25-30%.

9. If Bush was at an 11% approval rating...it would change nothing!!! |
|
Edited on Mon Dec-20-04 06:12 PM by Zinfandel
They would continue to pretend they have a huge mandate, just like when they stole the 2000 election...what do they care what we think, fuck us all. And there's plenty (and more to take their place) in the media that are getting rich to protect these thugs and to only report the offical government line and propaganda for the day!!!
The fascist stole another one, they own the media, we mean nothing and have no voice, no matter how great our numbers...they are just going to take and legislate everything including Social Security away from us.
And we can't do shit about it!!!
This is true FASCISM we now live under.
Corporations & Government are one in the same, there is just one party in power in all facets of governments, (the republicans) the party in power owns and control the media. And finally one Religion, Christian!!!
And it completely over, as the following will occur in days to come...
When the Supreme Court rules that the Federal Government has the right to superceed State Government laws & policy (as the state pot laws now under reveiw by the Court) AND when they steal their 60-40 Senate majority in 2006 to get rid of the filibuster...
Then, well, you tell me...

Bush's approval rating was under 50 percent almost all of last year in virtually every poll, yet here we are having to live under his disastrous policies another four years. Something's wrong with this picture.

12. Just out of curiosity... |
|
If these polls come out no one believes the numbers are accurate, then why are so many people willing to point to exit polls as proof of election fraud?
Personally, I agree that 49% is probably too high. I would think it might be around 40% or so. While I also believe that election fraud was a possibility, I don't believe that the exit polls (which I don't trust) were proof of this.
After the Iraqis tell us to F-off, which I believe will happen... If we actually leave, I'll bet *'s number go up. If we don't leave, *'s numbers will go down significantly.

13. Because EVERY exit poll showed Kerry ahead |
|
Gallup wasn't the only one. And we'll see what happens with the soldiers, but I think that them forcing us to pull out won't be too good for the administration.

How many people here just want the soldiers home? Even if they "kick us out", I'm sure this will be spun as "our job is done" by *. In that case, how many people who don't pay as much attention as us on DU will simply think that we won, and the troops are comming home, and then falsely credit the president with it?
