BLUE STATES; you CONTROL ALL the GOOD STUFF...
Edited on Mon Dec-20-04 07:43 PM by LynnTheDem
With the Blue States in hand, the Democrats have firm control of 80% of the nation's fresh water, over 90% of our pineapple and
lettuce, 93% of the artichoke production, 95% of America's export
quality wines, 90% of all cheese production, most of the US low-sulfur
coal, all living redwoods, sequoias and condors, all the Ivy and Seven Sister schools, plus UC-Berkeley, Stanford, CalTech and MIT.

We also have the majority of wealth and GDP.

Not to mention all the garlic, San Francisco Sourdough Bread and good
grapes to go with all our cheese & wine.

We can live simply but well.

On the other hand, the Red States now have to cope with 88% of all obese Americans (and their projected health care cost spike),
92% of all US mosquitoes, 99% of all Southern Baptists, 100% of all
Televangelists, Rush Limbaugh, Bob Jones University, Clemson
and the presidency.

Feel better now? :D

1. All of it says one thing to me.
SECESSION!!!

Or else just let the repukes win. They can all be "self made men."

I think it would be generous to give them one year before they beg for us to take them back and use liberal government policies to the advantage of all. Or else kill each other.

17. Newscorp?!!!?? Is this a mistake
Newscorp (FOX, Directv, FOX NEWS etc) gives 61% to Dems and only 39% to Republicans? Is this some kind of sick joke?

19. It looks like that site is including donations by employees.
"Many people have commented about the fact that News Corp, owner of Fox News, is a blue company whereas they would have expected it to be red. News Corp has many subsidiaries and many of them are in the entertainment industry which is traditionally very blue. This is reflected in the political donations given by the employees of News Corp as a whole."

I hadn't noticed that before. Personally, I'm more interested in corporate donations.

21. what you fail to realize
Is most in the media are Democrats. Most stationss lean 80-20 for them, while fox is the most balanced, with 53-47 for the conservatives. Sure they are slightly skewed right, but hardly to the degree of other stations. Thats why im tired of hearing about the conservative Mainstream media. It is actually the exact opposite.

I was under the impression that most low-sulfur coal came from Montana, Wyoming, West Virgina, Virgina, Kentucky and Alaska. In which blue states is it also mined?

6. Never mind wine
those red states drink corn likker.

Not fair, I know, but how do we ever bring red wine and brie to the bible belt and the middle red states?

Wait--it's in the bible--wine drinking is OK. Right?

They have a choice. Some good California wine, some good NY state wine,(I have done the NY state finger lakes winery tour which is great) some good Vermont cheese,(the small little cheese factory in Vermont makes the best)or even some excellent French cheese and wine.

What is the matter with them?

Not to mention Maine lobster with a good white wine. Shrimping is starting now in these cold months. You have never tasted a shrimp that is as sweet as the small shrimp harvested in Maine waters.

What do we get from those red states? Corn.

8. All those red state churches have wine
during mass, but I'm sure they don't drink the good stuff.

The red states also provide beef, tobacco, and the people who go on Jerry Springer.

35. I'm in Central California
I saw three this spring near Santa Clarita, California. Total surprise. Completely unexpected. I drove round a corner and they were sitting on the edge of a turnout.

They're well worth seeking out.

10. Plus..Blue states have indoor plumbing and indoor bathrooms.
It's hard to believe that, in this day and age, people (like those in the south), still use outhouses.
Oh..and we have dentists up here also....

30. I think the BLUE states ----
Should form their own country!! When we shut off the bulk of the water going to California thru the Colorado River we will see how many Veggies and how much Wine you grow -- NOT to mention the little problem of drinking water in Southern California!!!!! Besides we can still get WINE from the the French---They will sell to anyone-- TERRORIST or RED STATES.

32. ALL the GOOD STUFF
Going to have a hard time baking that sour dough bread without wheat or producting dairy products and veggies/grapes without gasoline for the tractors. Blue and Red states need each other. Would recommend we expend our efforts on turning red states into blue ones.
