Response to magnetic ribbons on cars: Peace Symbol
The good old-fashioned peace symbol. Nothing fancy. Says a lot more than simply Peace - it incorporates the entire anit-* message and evokes the spirit of activism while still expressing a positive sentiment.

Support the troops? What better way to support them than with Peace?

Now where can I get a magnetic one for my car?

Hopefully 2 or 3. Here in Texas seems like it's in fashion to literally cover your car, bumper to bumper, with every permutation of the magnetic ribbon...

1. What do you do if you were for going after Osama but against the Iraq War?

4. If Bush had run the war correctly , it would already be done
but now - TIME'S UP

Quagmire accomplished.

Iraq-nam.

He had his chance for shock-and-awe.

Didn't work.

He let OBL go at Tora Bora.

Osama Bin Forgotten by *.

* blew it -- now it's time for peace.

8. That probably accurately describes a good portion, if not most

of the people here.

But Bush proved beyond a reasonable doubt that he could screw up a ham sandwich. Osama is still at large, able to conveniently release videotapes (and boost W's poll numbers) immediately before the election.. Meanwhile, all we really accomplished in Afghanistan was getting dapper ex-Unocal employee Hamid Karzai in place so that the Kazahkstan pipeline deal could go through. Meanwhile, in "Free" Afghanistan, women are still being put to death for things like extra-marital sex.

It's never been about going after Osama, even though we were told it was- that was an excuse, and as long as Osama is still out there playing the boogeyman, they will (presuming they have the troops, which may be why you feel a sudden draft) be able to pull crap like Iraq, again.. and again.

9. Thanks, I just ordered 50.

I'm will be giving them as gifts to family and to the people who honk and wave at us as we stand with our Peace signs at JC Nichols fountain here in K.C.

I also wear a silver peace symbol pendant at all times. I like this because it "speaks" to the issues without getting people upset. It also makes me very conscious of my behavior, so, even though I am naturally a pretty nice person, I'm even more so now, since, as long as I am wearing that symbol, I represent millions of other Americans who are for Peace too.

10. Get some magnetic sheeting
Here's a source: http://www.magnetsource.com/Consumer%20Pages/Mag_Minder.html

Then you can buy whatever bumper sticker you want.

Better yet, just slap a peace sign bumper sticker on. It's timeless.

12. I have a nice sort-of greenish peace flag...
... that I flew outside in the run up to Iraq. Maybe it is time to bring it out for the holidays.
