Wow, Donnie Fowler, running for DNC Chair slams RW's on c-span

This was impressive, Donnie Fowler TWICE slapped back RW critics HARD when replying to them trying to tell him why the Dems are wrong. Phew! Here's a transcript of the second round:

"I an SO TIRED of republican religious people claiming that god belongs to George Bush, and that religion and values belong to the right wing, and that patriotism and the American flag belong to the republican party. It is a disgusting, exclusionary, negative way. For you to come on a call-in show like this and say that if you're not white or if you're not a christian or if you don't believe exactly like I believe ... then you are immoral and anti-american. It doen't belong to you. Instead of telling us, like republicans do, that god is on your side, it would be better if you would do like the democrats and hope that god is on OUR side. It's an awful way to use religion as a political weapon. It's discouraging and its disgusting and that, sir, is not the way we act in the United States. And I hope that you do stay in the republican party, the way you think."

It felt REALLY GOOD hearing him stand up for us!

8. Before you all get too giddy

Donnie Fowler ran the Michigan Coordinated Campaign this past season. It was a real nightmare. We greatly lamented they were involved in our efforts. The misery was not limited to our neck of the woods, I know of at least three counties around the state that kicked CCout of their office.

Absolute disregard for local efforts and the grassroots. Lots of promises only kept when some strong-arming and threats to go to Brewer (MDP Chair) were issued. It was a frickin' nightmare I tell you. We all took to calling it UNCoordinated Campaign.

Anyone interested in details, I'll be glad to provide.

P.S. On edit, as we celebrated our Grand Opening of office Fowler came and gave a rousing speech, like what's posted. We were all excited and very hopeful. Seems like his kick off speech was about all there was to be happy about, everything after that was shit. BTW, we had to move our openingup by 8 days (which meant it was turned into a chaotic cluster fuck of a move) because CC decided to schedule events at our new office 8 days earlier than we had planned to move (guess how many of them helped with the task). That was a real sign of things to come we should have heeded more closely.

Make him write a book or something. Get him to be a TV talking head. If our party had its ducks in row like the RW, that's what we'd do to get back on top of the media game.

But I'm sure they'll just continue to let him gallavant around, mismanaging campaigns... *sigh*

He's an effective, charismatic speaker. We should make effective use of that!

If Dean takes the DNC chair I bet he'd be bright enough to get Fowler out in front of the cameras plenty.
