I can't believe that Rummy...

...made it out of that speech to the troops without taking a round in the eye, after the way he talked to them.

1. Hey- they voted for Bush
does this make sense in any way? No. why would good men and women vote for those who sold them out for access to oil and no-bid rebuilding-Iraq contracts?
1200+ dead for ego and greed. My heart grieves.

2. Most of the parents of those who died think their kids are now heroes
Who are we to tell them otherwise, eh? If this whole sorry mess makes them feel better about themselves--though, granted, it's a mighty expensive "group hug"--maybe we should shout an almighty "HURAAH" everytime a US soldier dies, you know, support the troops and their families by letting them know that if they feel their kid died for a good cause, then, by god, so do we.

Insane logic, I know, but that's where America's mind is for the moment. Why fight it?

3. They are heroes. They volunteered to serve their country, and
they did. We should all honor that. How can you not?

That's why.

6. You don't appreciate the All-Vol force?
Would you prefer a consripted force?

5. You think his back wasn't covered?
These evil-doers won't take any chances with THEIR lives, only ours and the other innocent civilians of the world. Every second of every photo-op is carefully planned.

Now, ask how it was that Herr Rumsfeld casually took a little stroll, outside the Pentagon, just minutes after it was hit on 9/11. Do you think he was being courageous?

Or maybe he knew something we don't. Yet.
