So 48% approve of the job Bush is doing |
|
while 49% disapprove....
This is a mandate, after a fairly close election
Suggestion....
Look at close races where the GOP came out on top for House seats and see how well bush did in the same seat. If Bush did less than 55% or got a lower rate than the congressperson, than letters should be written to the local papers about the congressman with Bush all over him as well....
Congressman X, even though he has a strong labor constituency, is choosing to side with Bush on gutting the overtime laws...
That kind of stuff that comes from real people.....

1. sorry but it is a mandate |
|
after four year of incompentence, and * still wins that says everything
Not only that they control congress, and I wouldn't put my faith in the trash dems in congress to protect us.
during the first four year they gave * everything he asked for, and I have the upmost confidence they will do the same thing for his second term. Why?
1. They gave * the right to declare war on Iraq, when they should have assumed the responsibility
2. They allowed a fraudulent medicare drug bill to pass
3. They passed a 385 billion dollar budget which diminished roe v wade, reduced pell grants, and had tremendous pork
no a major cleaning up of the democratic party is needed, and I do not see that occurring soon

3. I hate redistricting so much |

It inevitably turns into gerrymandering each time. It's illegal, so we don't see blatent examples, but what happens nowadays barely passes as legal. Historically, it's effects have been quite ugly if not downright unjust, especially with minority voters and the impoverished in general. I'd rather go on a proportional representation format instead. If a state has 10 seats in the House, for instance, then the seats would be apportioned according to how much each party won of the votes cast.
