DLC/Al From supporters: From where cometh Al From's salary? |
|
And the salaries of those who work at the DLC?
Do those salaries come from the corporate donations made to the DLC or are they from a private donor? Or does From and the crew work for free? Are they volunteers or employees?
What is Al From's annual salary?

I have no idea, but logically, I'd guess that big business lobbyists front their income, since that seems to be who they are most beholden to...as always, follow the money.
but that's pure conjecture on my part, probably shouldn't do that without info.
regardless, its a valid and interesting question.

The DLC does NOT "raise big money for some Democrats". It is not a PAC, and FEC and IRS regs prohibit such activity.
Because of its tax status, the DLC is subject to pretty intensive scrutiny by the IRS; if you really think that Al has been living off of "skimmed" money for almost twenty years, you're delusional.
The DLC raises its money the same way as groups like the Center for American Progress, People for the American Way, and Campaign for America'a Future, through a combination of membership fees, individual donations, foundation money, and, yes, some corporate donations.
I suggest that if you plan on villifying From for the source of his salary, you need to hold Robert Borosage and Jesse Jackson, Sr. to the same standard.

8. Borosage and Jackson are not demonizing |

Democratic supporters the same way Al From is doing about Michael Moore.
He is wasting valuable tv time dividing the Democratic Party that he CLAIMS to have the right to speak for. I, for one, do not ever remember voting for him to speak for me for one damned thing.
Why isn't From out there working on the voting fraud problem like Jackson is doing? Possibly because he would rather court the votes of racist southerners at the price of losing African American votes.
Where does his salary come from and how much does he earn?

Some people think it's big corporate money, but I think he gets payed directly from Beelzebub himself. From clearly made a deal with the devil years ago on behalf of much of the Democratic party. It happened on a rural crossroads not far outside Arkansas.

9. I don't know -- where does Ralph Nader get his salary? |
|
We already know that right-wingers funded his political campaign.

10. But does Nader have influence over... |
|
...the Democratic agenda or who runs for president? Is Nader a 'Democratic Think Tank'?
Shouldn't we at least be concerned about who funds the 'party machine'?
