Anyone watching Kennedy Center Honors?
Edited on Tue Dec-21-04 10:03 PM by propagandafreegal
I love how Ruby Dee is ignoring Laura Bush. These people are long time activists and prob have no stomach for the Bushes.

1. Good for Ruby!
I seem to recall reading somewhere awhile back that Ruby Dee and Ossie Davis's children refused to say "with liberty and justice for all" when they were reciting the pledge of allegiance. 'Cause for some reason they didn't buy it. Imagine that!

5. They keep showing Kerry and Mama T
The Kerrys are seated behind Ted Kennedy, and the camera has shown them several times this evening.

Did you see how genuinely moved Ossie Davis and Ruby Dee were when the Howard University Choir was introduced? And then Audra McDonald was the soloist! What a a voice! What a lady!

Only beef so far: They did not let Brian Stokes Mitchell have a musical number. Grr.
