Dubya says ‘Season’s Greetings, now get back to work Cratchit’

Now that all those wonderful red state people elected Bush to another four years, and in the giving spirit of the Holiday season, perhaps now is the time to take a less harsh look at our faultless leader.

In keeping with Dubya’s desire to turn back the hands of time, perhaps this year more than any we should have a good old Dickens style Christmas.

A nice start would be warming home and hearth by burning some of that “Clear Sky” coal. Oh, don’t worry about all that black smoke that blackens your lungs and makes you cough, it will be cleaned by voluntary pollution controls.

What would the Holidays be without a traditional Christmas tree. We are in luck here too. With the “Healthy Forest” initiative there will be a lot of old growth trees to cut and decorate! Don’t worry about the landslides and browned waters coming from the clear cut National Forest either. Some new iniative, probably called “Clear Water” will take care of that.

The Holiday table wouldn't be complete without a merry roast of beef or some seafood. If Tiny Tim, Grandpa or Aunt Ethel start acting a little crazier than usual, not to worry. Never mind those downer cows or mercury laden salmon that made their way into the food chain. Bush’s new voluntary inspection of the food supply will take care of that.

If you do get sick, check out the new “Ownership Society” medical policy. The new “ownership society” says if you get sick, you own it! So before you slip into our kerchiefs for a long winter’s nap, remember to be on the look for someone sliding down your chimney early Christmas morning. It won’t be jolly old St. Nick though. It’s Bush and the neo-cons taking away more of our family jewels - civil liberties, not to mention anything that might be under the tree.
So have yourself a Merry, little, and I do mean little, Christmas and Happy New Year. Now get back to work on the double!
