The Republicans are skilled at labeling their opponents, attaching negative connotations to the label and repeating the label relentlessly as verbal ammunition. And it works. They have done this with the word "liberal" to the point that many liberals no longer use the word, they identify themselves as "progressives." We need to play the same word game as they do, and come up with an effective label for them. Something to refer to the whole huge mass of pasty white conservatives, who haul their asses in to church every Sunday, dressed up and slicked down like Sean Hannity, to make themselves feel like "good Christians," while the rest of the week they screw their fellow mankind in any way they can. And the masses of slightly overweight white guys with short hair and golf shirts who sit at their computers endlessly typing in "you f***ing liberal commie pinko treehugger faggot wimps, why don't you move to Canada and get married to gays" in their own message boards such as politics.com and freerepublic.com, while they sit there munching on a hamburger in front of their computer, as well as labeling and castigating anyone who does not agree with them, in conversations on the phone and at coffeehouses, etc. "Dittoheads" worked for a while but it seems to have fallen out of fashion. We need to think of a really effective label for this entire culture of pseudo-Americans and attach a negative connotation to it (associate it with war, greed, poverty, disease, hate, etc.) and repeat it endlessly so that it soaks into the national consciousness. But what should the label be?

They'll really hate SUViets. This would be for the asshole with the wife, kids, and SUV who dumbly nods their head when FOX tells them it's necessary to forfeit civil liberties to save them from the terrorists. Likening them to the populace of a totalitarian state seems only fitting, and it will piss them off to be equated with the "Evil Empire."
