As a liberal Democrat I am sort of confused why the Democratic Party powers that be don't debate these slogans when the Republicans start propagating them.

It is really quite simple to turn that statement by the Republicans around so that it makes them look foolish.

I think the Dem powers that be only pay consultants based upon pandering rather then upon skills.

I am not even a trained debater or a PR person but all one has to do is simply define that a liberal is different then a democrat to counter that remark. Give examples such as more Democrats are in the Democratic Party then liberal Democrats. Continue with many liberals are not even in the Democratic Party. Continue with Michael Moore's political philosophy is more in tune with communism, and that Michael Moore has more fans with the communist and ultra right wing gun owning hunting nuts and the Hezbollah organization then with liberals. Say again good counterpoints are best understood when repeated. Liberals are not Democrats. Some liberal Democrats are in the party but they are the minority always have been and always will be.

Perhaps even say something like Moore is a Marxist Democrat (a communist)in the strict sense of defining his political philosophy, and they have much support from the Islamic Terror organizations such as the Hezbollah and would be the ones "gloating" after the Mosul attack!
