I feel bad for Indiana and Ohio for the major snow storms but..
I could not help it. Recently I posted a story from the strib on how the same states that voted for Lincoln also voted for Kerry, except for Ohio and Indiana - that really break the solid line - and then also Iowa and Washington (was it a state, then?)

So if I were one of those believes that see the hand of god in every event, especially weather events... nah...

17. Yes, pray for people's deaths. That's the thing to do.
Your red state/blue state obsession is tiresome and counterproductive. Don't you ever get tired of repeating a corporate media talking point designed to make the Republicans look stronger than they actually are?

11. In 1992 when Hurricane Andrew came ashore
it was expected to go north to Palm Beach and Ft. Lauderdale. Instead it destroyed homes in the working class city of Homestead. It was then that spouse wonder whether god was a Republican..

2. I am a Ohioan...
and I fought the good fight. But there has been a brain drain as a result of the conservatives in this state, and, combined with fraud, we lost to a chimp here.

7. Ohio and Iowa were close this year, Indiana is an anomaly,

and Washington wasn't in the Union in 1864, IIRC.

10. This enigma residing within
an anomaly hopes the snow doesn't get too high. The husband had foot surgery
this morning, so I own the snow removal duties for the next few weeks.
:wow:

8. Oh come now...
I'm in Indiana, five miles from the Ohio border and I worked to get Kerry elected. Stranger still, everyone I know did the same thing! Wow! Imagine! All those people living in Indiana and Ohio voting for Kerry. Occasionally we even know which fork to use, but that's beside the point. I have heard of various people in Ohio that stood for hours waiting to vote for Kerry. It was that important. Oh, and here's the really weird stuff...a lot of those people in Ohio were not sure that their vote actually counted! Imagine that!!! You know, I agree with them.

Tonight those same people along with myself are freezing our collective asses off in Ohio and Indiana and we are still wondering what the hell happened on 2 November.

12. Meant no offense. Still admire all the Ohioans that stood hours in line
to vote.

It is just that the combination of "Indiana and Ohio" lit a bulb buried deep in a dark recess of my brain.

13. We can handle the snow
It is the job loss that should have made the people think. I can't understand what is in the mind of some. They complain about the job loss here and still vote for *. Whatever. Soon we'll have a new local super Wal-Mart. I'm sure that will save us. All praise *.

14. Ohio voted for Kerry.
I'm tired of the Ohio bashing. Ohio did vote for Kerry. The election was stolen in Ohio.

16. I agree that Kerry won Ohio
However, I live in an area that has experienced a significant number of job losses and virtually every local school district has been and is asking for levies to be passed. Many, Many do not get it. Too many listen to Rush and watch Fox and regurgitate the talking points. It is down right frightening.

So the hand of god hit a few million progressives... I think his aim was off if he was aiming at Republicans...
