We need a left wing Karl Rove
it's pretty obvious the Repukes aren't going to play fair. So we shouldn't either. Here in Minnesota we picked up 13 State House seats last election and now the GOP is whining that it was largely based on somewhat exaggerated or misleading mailings against GOP incumbents. It works. Hell look at LBJ, he didn't play fair. First there was the old "let the bastard deny it" trick in Texas, than the attacks on Goldwater most notably the Daisy ad. And it worked. Come 2008 we need our own Karl Rove who's willing to hit our opponent with our own Willy Horton or Swift Boat Liars. If they're going to get into the dirt, we need to as well.

3. Not a bad idea.
However, DU is a bad place to discuss a "secret" anti-Rovian agenda.

Are you offering your evil services?

4. I'll take it!
I'd be willing to assume that role. I'm a little more ethical than that jowly pig, but I have a caustic wit (so they say) and a sense of justice as fierce as Rove's greed is. That could prompt me to really throw down with the ol' slimeball.

I'll take him on in a steel cage.

Rove-> :spank: <-Me

9. James Carville kicks ass when he's in charge
They just haven't really used him since 1996. Dumb move.

We need really smart people and we need them to be IN CHARGE on the political side. One of the things that makes Rove so effective is he has the authority to follow through.

13. I agree. Carville is every bit as talented as Rove.
He just came on board too late. He needs to be given the authority and resources from day one.

That's what we NEEDED in this election. If anybody is old it's Bob Shrum.

but I understand what you mean in the context of elections. People like Rove always end up destroying themselves in the end. It always just a matter of time.

12. Rove Falls Back on Lies and Fabrication to Further His Agenda
There's so much TRUE dirt on republican candidates that we have no need for fabrications. We DO need political campaign leadership that isn't afraid to use that information, however. IMO, nothing is off-limits - and if I had any say in the matter, Victor Ashe's name would have been invoked at every opportunity during this past campaign.

14. You are correct
I'm not sure where I read this, could have been DU, but Frist wants to run for Pres in 08, he asked Rove to help him. If this is true, we better be prepare for more sleezeball garbage. Also, the Swift Boat Liars said they are not going to disappear. We really need to nip Rove in the butt.

18. A better idea would be to hire some smart lawyers...
to sue the pants off of Republican smear-liars (like the Swifties). Slam those dirty sonzabitches with so many charges they'll go bankrupt just fighting them. A DU collective-lawsuit would be a real gas (count me in). Sue Karl Rove for being an alien on this planet. How can any right-wing christian approve of his tactics - he has violated all 10 of their beloved commandments!

21. If Dean isn't elected as DLC chairperson...
Dems can forget about winning any election for the next two cycles at least. The Dem party needs to go back to it's roots and forget about appeasing the right wingers, swing voters and the moderates. Stand up for the Dem values, for real, instead of being weasles.

20. We need something!
We need someone that can think on their feet and that can expose illogic rhetoric instantly. So far the right is beating us to death with their bull and little tricks. Of course CNN FAUX and MSNBC helps them a lot.

I don't want to be the mob more than I need my own "Rush Limpballs" (that one died fast since Air America, didn't it?)
We need less strategizing and more integrity.

24. A 9/11 Petition - Please Sign & Pass The Link On!
http://www.sibelpetition.com

Former FBI translator Sibel Edmonds and I are working hard to get
the petition signed on line. The petition can now be found at www.sibelpetition.com
and we would GREATLY appreciate your signing it and posting it on Web sites.
Also, another and more important task we are undertaking
is getting as many people as we can to contact their Congressional
reps to release the report.

So many people immediately think "conspiracy theory." On the contrary, Sibel has
crucial information about 9/11 confirmed by the FBI that Ashcroft has unjustly deemed
classifiable due to national security reasons, but a ranking Dem senator (Leahy)
AND a ranking Repub senator (Grassley) who have met with Sibel and seen the
information first-hand have both written to Ashcroft several times expressing
their opinions that the information is only being covered up to avoid embarrassment for the administration.

It's also unfortunate that so many people in the country want to support us but
are afraid to simply sign the petition for fear of retribution. Is this America?
Everything Sibel has done so far has been through Congress and the legal system
(she testified for 3 hours in front of the 9/11 commission in a secure room and
has several lawsuits pending) and she has done nothing but exercise her rights
as an American citizen. Those very rights are what are at stake here, as well as
national security since many of those involved in events that led to 9/11 are
still free.

The 9/11 family groups have been rallying behind Sibel through the process--you
can imagine that they want those people and countries who are responsible for
the attacks and those who let it happen held accountable. They are truly the
ones for whom I am putting in this effort.

Thank you.

Wade Chinoy

28. you are right!
Hey. Check out my recent post. The gloves should come off you are right. The use of technology is to our advantage. The republicans have used the national radio waves to flood the minds of americans with their conservative propoganda with perfection. We should use the internet as our own talk radio. Who is in? Obviously you all here are, keep up the good work.

29. Yes, it does sound like a good idea...
The Democrats tried the "focus on the positive and don't Insult the Repukes" thing during most of the election and it didn't get anywhere...so we do need someone who can get the dirt on people.
