Also, talk to actual Canadians and Brits rather than listening to Murdoch, GE, and the HMOs who would like to keep their power and you'll hear a different (and positive) story about the medical program in Canada and Britain (and France, and Germany, and Switzerland, and Spain, etc, etc).

9. One of the problems...

...that I have with making medicine a national government program is privacy. Many of us are up in arms at the thought of the government having access to the books we check out of the library or pages we view on the Internet.

How is it preferable to give them total access to our entire medical history? I wish there were some way to rectify this privacy issue, because the thought of people like the attorney general having unfettered access to every individual's medical history always stops me cold.

Why do you think there is so much Federal funding of Healthcare Information Technology from this administration???? Do you REALLY think it's because they want to decrease medical errors? There has got to be a cost-benefit for the government and that benefit is access to your electronic data stored in large databases with automatic feeds.

Ask around or look at some of my posts and you'll probably find out I'm not exactly what someone would think of as politically correct, and I agree with you to some extent about how some of the more extreme feminist propaganda (or any identity politics that's gone over the edge) is used to draw people away from the Democratic Party. My avatar used to be a picture of Larry Flynt for crying out loud!

And if you've ever met me you'd probably wouldn't think of me as a stereotypical liberal. I'm a big, proud-to-be-masculine, aggressive, ambitious male. I'm probably one of those guys that would be a Republican if I didn't think too much about politics and just went kind-of on instinct or negative propaganda about the Democrats.

That having been said, most of us think it would rock if we had a bigger dick. I certainly would! I'm not even making fun of people who would like that. I would welcome all the Maxim readers into the Democratic Party.
