Folks, this is now way beyond conspiracy theory -ville. Check out the latest video of Bush's press conference two days ago. At 16 minutes and 47 seconds into the press conference, Bush is on a roll, then he suddenly stops, bends his head down, and mumbles something into his tie, then lifts his head and continues. If you ask me, he was telling the people feeding him lines to slow down a little. I'm serious, I know the mainstream media likes to poo poo these stories - of course they're the same folks who poo poo'd our concerns about the veracity of Bush's WMD claims - but there is just too much evidence at this point. The man is either certifiably crazy, has tourettes, or he's talking to someone via a mic in his tie. Which frankly really pisses me off, because it means he cheated during the debates. And the media let him off the hook because post-9/11 we don't criticize President Bush, it wouldn't be proper etiquette for a dictatorship.

2. I saw that video.

It looked strange at first but on subsequent viewings I decided that it's simply likely that one of his feet was tangled in some wires or he was stepping on a wire and it distracted him---or something like that. After the whole "bulge in the jacket" thing after the debates I think some people are tempted to think that he was responding to someone who was talking to him through an earpiece. I think it was simply a "what am I stepping on?" kind of moment.

...when you say that he didn't look down. It appears to me that he did. I'm not trying to defend him. I despise the man and he scares me but I think that there is a very ordinary and mundane explanation for what we see in this video.

9. This is what I see/hear

bush* says "blah blah blah there is...(looks down mumbles what sounds like "waidamin", maybe saying "wait a minute") and then restarts with "There are blah blah blah...

So he tried to get fancy and memorize his prepared speech and flubbed his line, looked down while vocalizing what should have been an INTERNAL memo to self, then continued with his truly witty comments that were written by someone else but since he has all this resolve it's impolite to point out he's a fucking asshole.


At least that's what I got. Although I could also easily believe he was giving instructions to the wizzerd of odd through his tie-mic.

edit: by "prepared speech" I mean the answer as submitted (and vetted by WH counsel, kkkrove et al)by the "reporter" that asked the pre-assigned question
