and the media tries to crown our nominee again. |
|
so today, it's kerry kerry kerry.
someone find an iowa poll from two weeks ago and tell me who made more gains in the interim.
my money is on John Edwards. i bet he gained more ground than kerry. he was in the low single digits yet he came within about 11% of winning yet today it's kerry kerry kerry.

3. while i see your point, i'm gonna be consistant here |
|
i'm backing Edwards BUT...not without a test. we need a champion who has been through the fire. i guess this is kerry's week but when we head south, i WANT the media to dig into Edwards. we need to out all the secrets before the GE. we need to see who can hold up over the long run.

4. Obviously the media is ineffective, so don't worry. |
|
I mean, they predicted Dean would have a straight shot to the nomination up until just a week before the Iowa caucuses when they changed their mind.
Besides, I suspect Iowa caucusgoers don't pay attention to the national media when they're choosing their vote. Why should they, if Senators and Vice-Presidents and the candidates themselves are running around the state campaigning?
Let's not blame the media for the voters' choice.

7. I think the whole Iowa vote was a rejection of the media |
|
AS I watched the talk yesterday (of course no one in the media would say this) all I could think was that the numbers were changing because our fellow Americans in Iowas refused to let the media decide for them. A few weeks ago it was all about Dean and how he might do against W, now this fight will be aired for the coming few months. All free advertising and they should get away from the infighting, with less candidates they can take their time and promote their plans.
This is a long way from being over.
