If Howard Dean is denied the DNC post by the Reid's and Pelosi's of the world and other timid Dems does this result in a war for the party or do the Deaniacs turn to the Green party?
Just wondering? Personally I like Howard for the position.

1. I'd be pissed if they snubbed Dean. |
|
That said, I'd have to see who they chose. If it's more of the same, the DNC won't get a dime from me. The way they've been running things, I wouldn't piss on them if they were on fire.

I hope he gets it. But I'm willing to stick around and see who they pick and how the position is handled.
...If they pick Roemer, I don't hold out much hope for the dems.

4. Many Howard Dean supporters will concentrate on buildng DFA |
|
and donating to Democracy for America, instead of donating to the Dem. Party, if Howard Dean isn't chosen to chair the DNC.

But I'm not sure it's the answer anymore than the Greens are. Still, if the DP won't reform itself back into the Democratic Party, I'll be out of there and looking for the formation that could ultimately try to represent the American people.

5. I plan on still voting Democrat |
|
It'd be annoying if Dean lost, but I personally don't see myself changing my registration. Who knows. The possibility that the DNC is comprimising its values will certainly be on my mind.

I always have to preface these questions with the fact that I'm an expat and still registered to vote - whatever the DNC does I will never again vote for a Democrat that I don't actually support. A person with a D next to their name who is a corporate owned quasi republican is not good enough.

8. I will support ANY DNC chair who targets the GOPcontrolled media and |
|
the GOPcontrolled voting machines.
If anyone is aiming at those two issues more than Howard Dean then that person gets my support. Until then, I think Dean is the only one who has given any indication that he is aware of those problems. Not as much as I'd like, but it's a start.

You gotta think about it. Then whom will the new Greens support 4 President?

14. No, he wouldn't run as a Green |
|
I'm hoping he starts his own party and folds in a lot of Greens -- and Independents, and LIbertarians and Republicans, and Dems of course, and brand new voters, just as he did in the primaries.

"Reid's and Pelosi's of the world and other timid Dems?"
"war for the party?"
1. Dean would make a good DNC chair but he isn't owed it. 2. There are others who are qualified, too. 3. If "war" is declared over Dean not garnering enough support for the position, the "Deaniacs" would surely lose.

not your question, the idea of snubbed deaniacs going off their own way.
If you really cared you'd fight for your man in the party, or take his message beyond him to the primaries, to the streets, to the papers, to the ballot box. Dean himself wants nothing more than the Democrats in power and Bush out, it's some of his followers that would cut their noses to spite all our faces.

16. I prefer Dean as DNC chair |
|
But not picking him won't necessarily make me abandon the party. I consider myself more of a liberal independent - mostly b/c I don't like labels.
Depends on the opponent - if they put up someone as scary as * in '08 I will probably fight against them w/ the Dems. If the opponent isn't as scary (say McCain) I would support a 3rd party if the Dem wasn't progressive enough.
